Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Speck PixelSkin Rubberized Case for iPod touch 2G, 3G (Black)Customer Review: The best iTouch case for me Summary: 5 Stars
After trying some hard and soft cases and different screen protectors this one is my overall favorite. First, as many YouTube videos will demonstrate, the screen is really tough, virtually will not scratch. So the fact that this case leaves the screen open is fine for me. While the screen is tough, the shiny back is not and scratches easily. So many users like to keep the unit as pristine looking and find these sleeves valuable. I also like how the tacky silicone keeps it from slipping out of my hip holster case.
This case is very durable. Other silicone cases I have used wear out after a couple of months. This one has lasted me well over a year. I walk a lot and even with the iTouch in an additional tough holster case the movement will stretch and distort most cases pretty quickly. I am about to buy my third for my third iTouch.
Customer Review: Speck PixelSkin for Ipod Touch Summary: 5 Stars
This item is an absolute must for Ipod users. I have an Ipod touch 2g and given the cost of the Ipod touch this is a great investment. It fits the Ipod perfectly and snug. This item together with the Zagg invisible shield is a great way to protect your investment. I know for the money I paid for my Ipod I want to make sure it is protected. The pixel skin makes it easy to access all functions, as well as making it more durable to possible every day abuse. I also like the fact it makes the Ipod so much easier to hold on to. Don't hesitate to buy this product. After buying my Ipod I wanted the best and questioned everything, but this item is a sure winner. Customer Review: Awesome Summary: 5 Stars
When I got my Touch the first thing I noticed was how slick the back was. Everyone that played around with it said the same thing. While it looks nice, you are a bit nervous thinking it will slip out of your hand. That is when I searched for a cover and found the Speck PixelSkin. I wanted a case that looked and felt good and this one fit the bill. The textured back gives you the confidence to hold your Touch and not worry about it slipping out of your hand. The covering over the volume, power, and "home" buttons fit perfect. All in all this was a great buy. I would recommend it to anyone.
P.S. If you want a great screen protector look at Power Support Crystal film set for iPod touch 2G
Customer Review: Love this case Summary: 5 Stars
I was never into those rubberized cases normally, but this one caught my eye after so many great reviews, and guess what, the positive reviews ring true. The case feels great in the hands, nice and sturdy. It doesn't attract too much lint, although there is always inevitably some especially if you put it in your pocket (although that depends on the material your pocket is made of too). It wraps around the Touch reasonably tightly, and protects/covers pretty much everything except the touch screen. Due to the way the cover is designed, the protected buttons can still be used by pressing through on the cover. Just be sure to get a simple screen cover as this case does not come with one. Strongly recommend this case for anyone looking for a nice, simple, no-frill case.
Customer Review: Speck PixelSkin Rubberized Case for iPod touch 2G, 3G (Black) Summary: 5 Stars
I've had this item about a month and so far it's everything it is supposed to be. It slips on easily, fits snugly, is easy to remove, but will not slip off. The knobby rubberized non-slip texture allows me to hold the iPod securely even with one hand while I access programs. The iPod on-off & volume controls are covered but once you get the feel for the buttons beneath the cover they are easily accessed & no problem to use. Lastly it protects my iPod from scratches and dings. The cover fits so there is nice thick ridge of rubber that frames the face of the iPod and extends past the surface about 2mm. This is a desirable feature because if I inadvertently place the iPod face down, the rubber ridge keeps the face of the iPod from touching the surface I placed it on.
