I had been looking for a speaker I could plug my ipod into for a while when I saw this at the Gold Box deals in Amazon. The price was so low I dind't think twice and ordered it.
I have owned it for a couple months now and I am very happy with this product, it has a very decent sound, you can plug the different Ipod models available, it is small and elegant.
I used to have a stereo system in my living room so I could play music while having lunch, doing the house chores or simply wanting to listen to music in any of the nearby rooms. I started looking for an Ipod speaker as I did not want to be changing discs and the like having an Ipod already.
This speaker is great, it is small and elegant, which allows me to place it in one of the living room tables without it looking out of place (it matches some our decoration actually); the sound, while not very powerful, is quite decent for my needs. I can have guests at home and plug my Ipod, hit shuffle and have background music. Being this compact size it's also very easy to carry it to other places. It has remote control also that allows you to equalize the sound, move through the Ipod menus and to decide whether you want it to shuffle through songs or not.
I have used this a lot since I got it and I can strongly recommend it. If you are looking for superior sound quality this may not be the best product for you (though you can expand it by purchasing additional speakers that can be connected to one another) If you need something like I described, don't think twice and grab this one, the price they have right now is a great deal.

This speaker system is so compact, sleek, and has great base. I only paid $29.00 and my only regret is that I only purchased one. Now that I bought one, my friends and family want one too!!! Normally sold in stores for $90, finding this item on Amazon really saved me some money. The remote control is perfect for us lazy people who would rather have a million remotes then walk across the room to push a button. Another feature that is cool is that it is also a charging dock. My ipod is always dead because I forget to charge it but now I just put it on the iH80B when I get home and it is always ready for me. People are surprised that all that crystal clear music is coming from my little black speaker. It is a must for any ipod user and even though it is not a Bose sound system, I think my $29 couldn't have been spent better! I, too, bought this during the Gold Box deal and really like it! The main reason I purchased this model was that it has an ipod A/V out plug in the rear that allows me to connect it to my older 60-in. big screen TV. I have an 80GB 5th Generation (late 2006) model. My biggest challenge was finding the right cable for this ipod model; found success with the quality Belkin model: Belkin F8Z030-12-APL AV Cable for 4G/5G iPod. Together they give me a relatively good picture! This cable cost me almost as much as the super-discounted Gold Box price, but the pair is worth it!
The bonus for me is that this speaker system has a nice mono sound and is also portable with 8 batteries.

I was leery to buy this product because when I was looking at it, there was only the first review where the person gave it only 2 stars. But for $29.99, I couldn't pass it up when compared to $99.99 for the iHome with the clock, alarm, etc. This speaker works great straight out of the box! Just plug it in, put your iPod on the dock, and you're good to go. Like others have said, don't expect Bose sound quality because after all, it isn't a Bose product! But the sound is really good, even better than I would have expected at such a low price. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with an iPod who doesn't need the clock function that comes with the iHome. Also, I have the old 20 GB non-color screen iPod and it still works with mine so it's not just for newer iPods.Customer Review: GREAT SPEAKER, EVEN BETTER FOR KARAOKERES

This is an excelent speaker, great sound, controls bass, treble, mic volume, and the remote.... WOW, i haven't tried a lot of speakers, but i have a few altec portable ones, and the remote and sound on the ih80 blows them away, especialy the remote's FULL ipod control thing. Apart of it being a great speaker, if you like karaoke, this is your item for a home party, i can not even describe how good it sounds, (for its size) and the video output helps a lot. I almost bought it for 80.00, but the 30.00 dlls. price i got it for, makes it even better. Can not wait to get the aditional speaker. I suggest that you load karaoke files to your video ipod, it brings out the best out of this amazing combo.
