Customer Review: A Great Clock Stereo Radio for the Ipod

I must say that I love this iPod Clock Radio. The sound is surprisingly good considering that this is a 15 watt unit, and its rich resonant sound will fill a bedroom or a small office. The iHome will charge your iPod while it is playing (or even when it is not playing), and the alarm buttons and the forward/reverse buttons are backlit in the dark.
I also appreciate the brightly lit digital clock on the radio. It is pristine and clear and easy to tell the time. You can even dim the time if it seems too bright.
The iHome also comes with small FM and AM antennas, a 15 volt DC plug, and multiple slots so that it you can fit any iPod onto it.
The unit also comes with a small line in plug so you can hook up other non-Apple mp3 players and play them through the iHome.
My one note of criticism is that it doesn't come with a remote. You will have to pay an additional $19.99, and even then, it will only control the volume and where you are in a song. It will not be able to switch albums or files.
Also, the unit comes with two AA batteries so that the time will not go out when you have to unplug the iHome to switch outlets.
This unit sounds better than almost any other clock radio I have ever heard. The only one I have heard in this price range with a fuller sound is the iPod clock stereo radio made by TEAC, which you can get at Costco. But it is bigger and heavier, and not as portable nor as pretty as the iHome. Moreover, the clock is harder to read on the TEAC.
Note: If you get the iHome at Sams Club, you can get it packaged with the remote for $89.99, eight dollars cheaper than the one Walmart sells without the remote.

I love my ihome! I recently got the black one (although regardless of color same product) as a belated christmas gift and already think its my best ipod accessory to date. Granted I have a normal size bedroom and wanted to consolidate and therefore didnt need a seperate stereo and alarm clock. Plus it came with the remote and adapters to fit ANY type of ipod (old and new) Now, Im sure a lot of you are questioning the need for a $100.00 alarm clock in the first place. But if thats your reason for buying it, I would rethink your purchase. The reason ihome was right for me, is because I needed a small stereo with a remote to play my ipod and the alarm feature was a bonus. The sound on the machine is clear, and if you so desire, can be very loud while remaining "quality". I have a lot of playlists on my ipod and therefore never need to switch songs or albums, so the lack of ability to browse my music through the remote or alarm base is insignificant, but once in an album or playlist you can skip songs (back and forth) with the remote with the next or previous buttons. I have read some complaints about the clock time LED display always being on, but what alarm clock doesnt always show the time (plus you can dim it if you want).
I wanted a small stereo and couldnt afford the BOSE, this was a more than suitable and quite lovable substitute, and its a kick-ass alarm clock too! -happy customer-

This is the perfect complement to your black iPod (or colored iPod nano, in my opinion). It's a gorgeous little design and big enough to produce high-quality sound, but small enough not to bother or stand out. We have ours on top of the TV in the open plan living/dining room and can hear it all through the house if we want to turn it up that loud, or have had it playing softly in the background during a dinner party. I love it because we didn't have to get an expensive speaker system with sightly cables or worry about compatibility. You will be impressed with the superior sound quality compared to anything else in this price range. Not to mention the charging feature, which is excellent, because the only time I ever have to worry about charging my iPod is in a hotel room on business travel. The blue LCD clock display is clear and easy to read from 30 feet away, an added bonus for us not having to walk up close to see the tiny clock on the DVR recorder. Pros- I have had this thing for a year. It has been in a combat zone and some of the hottest weather on earth. It still works as good as it did the first day and sounds great. I thought the sound would be mediocre when I bought it but this thing packs a punch. I love the dimming light feature on the front, it is very nice when you have a dark room. You can have it bright blue, dim blue, or off. You can wake up to your favorite song viathe iPod or just have a pleasant buzzer wake you up. It's not pleasant in actuality, its an annoying beep, but it wakes you up with a gradual volume shift. If you are a light sleeper it wont be as annoying. I recommend buying the $11 remote. It is very convient if you are using it to jam in the kitchen or even in the living room. I haven't had one problem with this like I said in a year and give it 5 stars. There are no complaints other than my black color attracts lots of dust. Weekly wiping keeps this from being a problem. I hope this review helped.Customer Review: Definitely Buy.

This is a spectacular product for numerous reasons.
Despite the new release of the 'ipod hi-fi' by apple, this is the product to purchase.
While the hi-fi is simply a stereo system for your ipod priced at $349, this contraption is a high-quality stereo system, alarm clock, radio and a charger.
I generally don't write reviews, but I am urged to do so for this product, being that I feel that it is so miraculous.
I have been under a lot of stress and struggling to fall asleep for months and could not find a solution. This product has seemed to cure me. Now, as I go to sleep, I listen to a playlist of particularly relaxing songs on my iPod that lull me to sleep and shut off after the desired amount of time.
Even besides this issue, I enjoy every feature of this product and have absolutely no complaints.
