I already owned this and had paid twice as much for it at a popular Audio/Video store. Both adult daughters had put this on their christmas lists, so we bought them thru amazon as they fit within our christmas budget. We've had ours now for 4 years, and love it. It is easy to use, has great sound and fits close enough to the cabinet, that it is never in the way. It was easy to install and have in fact moved it from one home to another when we moved last year. It has an easy to use DST switch which makes things so much easier than resetting the clock twice a year. We have a large kitchen and the clock has a large display so we can see the time wherever we are.Customer Review: Outstanding product

My housekeeper loves to listen to music in the kitchen and had been making do with an under-the-counter radio of roughly the same quality as a bedside clock radio. I picked this up as a last-minute gift, not really expecting a lot, but we have been totally blown away. The sound quality is very good (not quite hi-fi but pretty close) and it works like a charm. It has a little motorized opening and closing function to insert and remove the IPod. The thing would be worth the price alone just for the radio and TV tuner, which is all digital (no dial twisting) and includes a set of pre-sets just like a car radio. I LOVE this appliance. I would give up my microwave before I gave my iPod player up. :) My husband and I both have iPods, so it gets use as an iPod player/dock all the time--I can listen to audiobooks, music, or even watch a downloaded TV program while I cook or do dishes. I love the fact that it easily accommodates more than one kind of iPod (although we both have the same model in my family).
In addition, the stereo tuner works nicely, and we can even tune in the football game on the TV tuner. It installed pretty easily--I worked up a sweat drilling holes, but I didn't have to swear even once.

I picked this up expecting to take it back because I didn't think the sound quality would be very good. I was surpirsedto find out (maybe I didn't read the box) that it also has radio, TV, and weather stations. Neat!!
The sound is AMAZING! Is this what those Bose radios sound like? They call the technology Reson8. I call it great! It sounds as good as my big stereo, but fits under the cabinet. I haven't installed it there yet. I'm worried about screwing into the wood. But for now, it works just as well inside the cabinet door.

Very happy with the IH36W, especially for the price on Amazon. I've seen this same model in stores for $100+.
Saves space under the kitchen counter, and works well with our 30GB iPod and our 4GB Nano. Attachments are provided for other iPod models.
Like others have written, this isn't top quality sound...but I didn't spend top dollar on it. I wanted a spacesaver that works with both iPods, and has decent audio quality. This product served that purpose, and I'm immensely satisfied.
