Customer Review: Great Functionality, Great Sound!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife to replace an iPod docking station that didn't work. I wanted a clock radio, iPod charging station, and weather radio (didn't need the tv tuner and don't know if it will be able to receive signals after the digital cutover) so this one covered all the bases. Tech For Less delivered the item very quickly, early on in the delivery window (which was about a 2-week span). Christmas afternoon I quickly installed the radio under the counter. Just 4 screws and a few of the included adapter pieces and it was secure. Setting the time, date, and radio frequencies in memory was easy. The sound was great. The speakers take up much of the box, which is a good thing. The sound sounded clean from low volume up to a fairly high setting. Using it as an iPod player, the sound was even better. The display shows song title, artist and album. The included remote has a magnet on the back so you can store it on the refrigerator for quick retrieval. The remote, however, only has a few rudimentary controls: you cannot change the playlist, just forward and backward through the one you are on. Overall, I am very impressed with this unit and recommend it.Customer Review: shockingly good

I tried this item at a local store and was pretty impressed with the sound. When we got it home we were even more pleased. Both of our ipods fit perfectly (I use the included adapter for my mini and the 60g just slides right in). The sound is fantastic - especially if you set your ipod equalizer on the small speaker setting. Having said that, the sound is much better than the average small speakers. There isn't the usual tinny quality and the bass comes through surprisingly well. The extras are great, too. There is a remote with a magnet on the back so that you can stick it on your fridge. When you close the pod compartment the display shows the song info so that you can see it from across the kitchen. And the fact that it has radio, weather band and tv station reception are all just bonuses. Heck, it even charges your pod for you! I also like the way it looks - its very neutral so you really don't even notice it. A lot of pod accessories are really unnecessary and overrated, but not this one!Customer Review: awesome! use it everyday

I was disappointed to find that this item is out of stock because I wanted to give one as a gift. I've have mine for ~1 year now and love it. I use it every morning to listen to npr while I am eating breakfast. The radio antenna is not the best- I have to find the sweet spot and keep it just right. However, once it's just right the stations I frequently listen to come in clear.
I considered getting a sony brand without the ipod function because I was originally worried about the sound quality from this unknown brand. However, I agree with another's review that it is "surprisingly good" and I have no complaints. The sound is even better when I use my ipod as apposed to the radio.
As soon as it comes back in stock I am going to snatch another up for my sister!

I was looking for an under the cabinet sound system. Almost every review I read about this one was positive. I totally agree. The sound quality is very, very good. I have the 80GB Classic iPod and there is no problem using it with this player. My son's 30 GB Classic also works well. I LOVE the presets, the TV station capability, and the ease of use for the iPod. I leave my iPod in the player to protect it from all my kitchen activities but it could easily be used with the iPod out as displayed in the picture. The remote works well and is a great asset. This thing has incredible sound! Sound is crystal clear with very good volume & trust me - I like to rock out in the kitchen! It takes every single type of iPod - we have yet to come across one that will not plug into and work with this. The kids and their friends love this since they can all have their own type of music whenever they want it. The remote control is wonderful and has a magnet so you can stick it to the fridge or any other appliance in the kitchen. Installation was super easy and it came with different height adapters so that it can be personalized to your style of kitchen cabinet. Oh, and your iPod displays on the screen what is playing and the artist. You will not find a more versatile product out there! You can also listen to TV stations & the weather too!
