Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Slinglink Turbo 1PORT Enet Connection Bridge (SL 150-100)

Customer Review: Completes the picture
Summary: 5 Stars

When I purchased my Slingbox Solo, I didn't realize how it connected to the internet (I assumed it connected by WIFI, and it doesn't). Initially, I purchased some CAT-6 cable and started stringing it around my house to connect the Slingbox to my network. This was a less than elegant solution, so I did a little more research and discovered the Slinglink Turbo Bridge. It works very well, just as described. One word of warning to those considering this purchase: make sure you have free electrical outlets where you intend to implement these boxes. You CAN NOT use power strips; they must be plugged directly into an electrical outlet.

Customer Review: Slinglink Turbo
Summary: 5 Stars

The Slinglink Turbo works exactly as it says it will. I have used network over home wiring systems many times before and Slinglink got it right. Once you set up a Slinglink wired into your router then your whole house becomes network wired by just plugging a Slinglink Enet Connection Bridge in any wall receptacle. You just need to plug the Slinglink directly into the wall plug and not into a power strip. Excellent product. Click on this link to see an overview from the manufacturer. [...] I have three connected throughout my house. One is connected to my slingbox which is another great product from this manufacturer.

Customer Review: Awesome product

At first, I was concerned because this item has to plug into the outlets on the wall and if the conduits are not working together inside the wall then you have to find another way to bridge the router to your media center in another room. Fortunately, the wireless router and turbo ports communicated. Had to go from room to room to set up equipment and software. Would recommend this item for people who do not want a TV in other rooms with all the cables and wires.
If you get blinking lights on the turbolink's reset the main box give it a few minutes don't give up.

Customer Review: Wow

You cannot fail with this product. Easy to install and works well just as described.

The good thing about this bridge, as opposed to extending your network with another router is that it connects / maintains the same DNS.

Most of my comuters are on the primary DNS and I was frustrated when I had to use a second router, not letting me share files between them.

This solved my share problems and has encouraged me to start streaming my PC media into my living room.

Customer Review: Bridge works!
Summary: 5 Stars

When I moved from a single floor home to a townhouse my ancient, but great Slingbox could not pick up the signal. At first I was told to use a USB booster - by a store - wrong, my Slingbix is so old there is no usb slot. So, I called Slingbox and found our about the bridge system. Amazon had a great price for it. It truly is as simple as 1,2,3 to put together and viola my Slingbox was working again! Ye ha! Excellent for the old Slingbox users, or those os us far away from a dsl base!
