The Slingbox is everything I expected, and more! Installation was incredibly easy and my daughter in Holland can now enjoy good ole USA TV! I don't know why she would want to do that, but that's not my concern.
As an owner of a wireless Internet service provider company, I was worried about how much bandwidth the Slingbox might chew up. But we did some simple tests and determined that it doesn't put too much load on the system at all.
The unit controls the TiVo it's hooked up to and my daughter can program and watch whatever is on it. Gives us a clue as to her tastes, which haven't severely disappointed us yet.
All in all, a great product, great price, great value. Can't say enough about it!

This will be a short review because there isn't much to say. The Slingbox AV worked exactly as advertized for me. I was even able to do the initial configuration from a remote location using a VPN client. The DSL connection at the location that the Slingbox is installed only has a 60 kBps or so upstream speed, but that seems to be plenty for the Slingbox - the video and sound are smooth, clear, and buffering times are short. For anyone who is not often able to see TV programs at home, this is a fantastic alternative. Highly recommended.
Note: Make sure you get the right model, it can be kind of confusing. It basically varies depending on what type of device/connection you want to use with the Slingbox.

Just received the Slinbox A/V. It took 2 minutes to set up and get running. The slingbox even has great steps for configuring your router. First reaction is that this is everything I could possibly have wanted. No more sitting in a hotel room on a business trip watching animated depiction of a sporting event. I can now catch my favorite teams games wherever I am. You can even use your video on demand and watch it anywhere. Great product. I was surprised how small it is. I wish it had an on/off switch, because I don't want to be streaming my tv 24/7. But pulling the plug works too. I recently purchased the Sling Box AV and it works terrific. I'm a CPA and work in my office at home quite a bit and wanted a TV in the office. After I heard about the Sling Box, I checked it out and bought it. It saves me space, has a great picture and doesn't have a monthly fee. Installation of the hardware was easy and the software was too, except I took a wrong turn at one of the steps and needed technical support, which was excellent. The first time I received a picture, I was blown away by the quality. And I love the features. I can change channels from my computer using the on screen remote and I can dock the picture to the left or right or have a full screen. I highly recommend it.Customer Review: Nice little gadget

My cell phone uses EVDO so I can connect to the Slingbox just about anywhere and watch tv. I can also control my DirecTV set box which means I can change the channels, access the show guide or set the Tivo to record. At home, I can watch the tv from my computer. The resolution is pretty good and the sound is loud and clear. The setup was pretty easy, but if you don't have an ethernet connection near the Slingbox I would suggest that you get a Powerline adapter. Using a wireless bridge is difficult for most people to try and set up. The Powerline adapter is literally plug and play. And thanks to Amazon I got my Slingbox for a lot less than anywhere on the Internet including Ebay.
