first off i'd like to say that the noise isolation on these are amazing i travel often on the plane and everytime they block out sound flawlessly. They work almost like ear plugs with drivers in them. For the amount your paying there is not a better product out there.
Now for a few cons first off the buds get a little uncomfortable after prolonged use. I would say after about an hour or so your ears start to hurt. I am not sure if maybe im wearing the wrong size (i wear the mediums) but the others fit even worse so. . . anyway what i am trying to say i guess is that if your ear doesnt match up very well to the given sizes then there is a chance that they might start to hurt or fall out after awhile.
Finally the last con that turns into a pro. As i have already noticed some other costumers complaining. Although the buds themselves and the 3.5mm end are great quality the actual wiring is a little more then crap. after about 8 or so months mine began to go bad. At first it would cut out of one ear but slowly when ever i moved the wire the sound would start cutting out, eventually cutting out completely.
Now heres to the good part Skullcandy's warranty is unmatched. they offer a LIFETIME warranty with their products. First off if your product becomes defective as in my case you just send in you buds and the replace them for free!! I sent mine in a week ago and they have already received and shipped me a new pair! Should be here any day now! Their second offer is also pretty great. If for some reason you break them yourself (hard core head-banging as they put it) they give you a 50% off coupon for your next purchase. not bad seeing as it was your fault you broke them.
Anyway overall i would highly recommend this product especially because of the price. furthermore you have the LIFETIME guarantee that if the ever do fail you get a free replacement tell me how many other companies you see offering that?

So one day I was on my college campus, and my earbuds went out on me. The college digital store happened to be having a Valentine's Day sale on these hideous pink earbuds, but I was broke and they were cheap so I figured I would try them. I had been through about 4 or 5 pairs of headphones in the 2 years I had had my iPod, so it became standard for me to need a new pair all the time. When I put these in my ear, I was AMAZED at how much better the bass was compared to other headphones I had tried (some of which were more expensive).
This was all back in 2007....it is now 2010 and I am just now needing new ones b/c mine are (finally) going out. So all this bs people are saying about them going out is kinda' weird for me. I have wrapped and unwrapped those things around my iPod for years and have not had any trouble with them until recently. The cord is finally starting to come apart at the base. So I finally get to buy a pretty color pair.
These headphones are great! I would recommend them to anyone. They are very nicely made and all come with a life-time warranty or option to get a discount on your next purchase if your headphones should fail. So I say this, you will spend just as much money (if not more) on "nicer" earbuds that will break in half the time. It can't hurt to try them. Mine have lasted 4 times longer than other headphones.

The first set of these I bought were defective, I now know that. I had no choice so I bought me another pair and they lasted me way over a year. I work in an industrial plant, so these earbuds are abused big time. I use these with my 120GB iPod. The sound is wonderful. Sweet bass. Great treble. No real midrange but I'm not complaining. I listen to bands like Ayria, Pzychobitch, S.I.N.A, KMFDM, etc., I don't know if other genres or styles of music sound as good with these buds. I'm guessing they do sound good.
These earbuds come with 3 diffent sizes of silicon gel tips. Neither worked for me. I had to use some from an old pair of buds that these were to replace. The big gels were too big and the medium ones were too small, that's just me though. After a year and one month the sound deminished from the right side. I had to turn up the volume all the way to be able to hear a fair sound. The next thing to go was the 3.5mm plug. The area were the plug and wire connect got a lot of bending from being in my pocket so they finally gave out and I had to toss them out. These are great earbuds for the price. I'm going to buy me another pair for backups.

I use these earbuds for going to the gym. I have been using headphones at the gym for 20 years both lifting free weight, cables, iso machines and several aerobic cardio machines not to meention running outside when weather permits in Syracuse. All of 10 days in a good year. These are the best sounding headphones for the money. I have tried and used probably 20 different sets of headphones and my favorites are the Bose Quiet Comfort but at $300.00 they should sound better. I also have a pair of BeyerDynamics that sound great but quite frankly I bought these at someones suggestion figuring if they suck I was only out $30.00. I was floored by the overall sound and the bass response. In fact when I travel I leave the Bose at home and bring these. They are great on a plane or crowded venue when you want to keep outside noise out. They are perfect for the travelling soldier as I am in Iraq now. I have given these as gifts to several friends who swear by them. If fit is a problem then try the other sizers that come with it. Dollar for dollar you will not find a better way to listen to music or a TV show or DVD on your computer.Customer Review: Love these headphones

These are great, inexpensive headphones. When the stock headphones from my ipod started falling apart the Smokin' Buds were what I purchased to replace them. I was hoping to get something that were as good as what I had before without breaking the bank. I was thrilled when this product turned out to be better in almost every way possible. They output more sound, they are built to isolate sound so they drown out background noise when I fly or work out, they are comfortable to wear and they don't fall out of my ears when I work out (which my ipod headphones would always do). Overall, everything that I needed them to be... they were!
If you are an audiophile then I would recommend that you keep searching, but for those looking for a good pair of headphones that don't cost too much I think you will be happy purchasing these.
