Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Earbuds, 11mm -Metallic BlueCustomer Review: Best earbuds ever! Summary: 5 Stars
Just got this headset on the recommendation of the AT&T staff and will say they were spot on on suggesting it. Have never been a fan of this type of headphone. Never had any in the ear headphones that really felt comfortable, till now. Very comfortable fit for me for the first time for this type of ear buds. The sound out of these is fantastic. And the inline mike worked well with my iPhone.
I hesitated on buying them at first not researching reviews on it first. Did not open it right away because I wanted to see the reviews on here first. The negative ones on here are off base maybe. At least for the pair I have does have an inline mike that works. Saw another review that mentioned that they were disappointed that that it was not metal, but rubber. At least to my eye the cable is metal wrapped in rubber. So should hold up well IMHO. Not sure I would want it without the rubber covering having used metal wrist straps for cameras that were not rubberized.
Another review (a positive one) mentioned that one needs to be aware that since these are ear buds that sit "deep" in the ear, they do block out some of the surrounding sounds. That was what drew me to buying it after the AT&T staff member said that she uses it when flying. That being said, I will keep my cheapo Apple ears phone around for those times that I need to be able to hear what is going on around me. But when it comes to really enjoying my music or videos - the FJM is my go to head phone.
Customer Review: By Far The Best Summary: 5 Stars
I consider myself an amateur audiophile with an ear for full frequency response. I have several MP3 players and a cell phone with a built in music player, and I like the portability of earbuds. But after buying and trying 8 different so called "top brands" of earbuds (Altec Lansing, Sennheiser, JVC, Panasonic, Sony, Zune, Razor, and Koss), I found the frequency spectrum of most of them very disappointing. I was trying to find earbuds with good bass and good sound quality across the full audio range. These Skullcandy 11mm earbuds are BY FAR THE BEST. Trust me on this one, I spent a lot of money trying to find earbuds that would allow me to hear ALL my music not just the highs and the mid-ranges. The Sony and JVC earbuds were good, but the Skullcandy 11mm was the best. Don't waste your money. Pick a color you like, and buy these. You will not be disappointed.
Customer Review: Holy Cow! These sound good! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought these here after I saw them in Circuit City at $70 - In their close-out sale!
I am extremely happy with the sound and feel of these ear buds. The bass is great without being booming. The highs are transparent. They are also much more sensitive in terms of sound level than a pair of Sony ear buds I purchased recently.
There is an in-line on-off switch. It comes with three sizes of silicon ear canal cushions.
The ear bud housing feels like solid aluminum - not heavy but heavy enough to get respect as NOT a cheap piece of crap.
My only regret is that the jack is straight in and I'd have preferred a right angle. But that's pretty minor.
Customer Review: Great sound!! Summary: 5 Stars
Looking for clear, smooth, rich, full-range sound comparable to good quality over-the-ear headphones but without the heat, weight, and bulk? I would definitely recommend these! I don't think you will be disappointed. They are quite sensitive - volume is very good at low power. Also sensitive is the in-line volume control, which unfortunately makes it a bit tricky to adjust. However, it does work and it makes a handy mute button. Sound isolation is good.
