Frankly, I was shocked to see so many bad reviews. I've had these ear buds for 5 months and no problem. I don't really like them for extended wear (I have lowrider headphones for that) because the start to hurt my ears a few hours in. However, I have had NO problems with durability. They have taken all usage quite well. Maybe you mistreat your headphones so they fall apart? Anyway, a few issues with sound I like out of the ear headphones best for sound quality anyway. Its true that if you don't adjust your earbuds to your size they do tend to fall out. Also, these headphones are NOT for running/jogging in. Great for chilling with but excessive movement makes them fall out. I've never really had any problems with skullcandy headphones. However, these headphones are the cheaper ones so you can't expect perfection. In the last year I have had 2 pairs of these headphones. The first pair lasted for 7 months before it stopped working in one ear, and the second only lasted 3 months. Luckily skullcandy offers a repair service where you send in the earphones to be repaired or get a cupon for a new pair. The sound quality and comfort are good, I just wish they would last longer under heavy use.Customer Review: The New Model is Terrible!

I purchased these to replace another pair of Smokin' Bud earbuds that I had had for about two years. The previous pair that I owned had been a pale pink and white color, the sound was excellent, and they fit comfortably in my ears. The replacement pair that I received, is hot pink, the left earbud will not stay in my ear, and these are extremely prone to tangling - meaning that these will likely soon be damaged due to the constant need to untangle (the old pair has a small plastic piece that can slide up and down cord and eliminated this).
In looking at the same products on the Skull Candy website I noticed that although the product line is listed as Smokin' Bud, the actual models may vary. Some still include the little plastic piece, others look like the cord may be made of different material. I contacted Skull Candy through their website asking if there were indeed differences in the varying models. I indicated that I had been very happy with my previous pair, and although not happy with this new pair I would be willing to make new purchase if they could verify that it is possible to still receive a product like my old one.
It has now been two weeks since contacting Skull Candy, and the only response I have received to date has been for their Newsletter that I am now apparently and unwillingly subscribed to. Due to the now poor quality, and lack of customer service, I will be finding a new vendor to replace this product.
