After much consideration I finally broke down and bought into satellite ratio. I ended up purchasing the Sportster 5 because you can get the best of XM added to your Sirius package. So far the radio is great! I can't believe how much I like. It looks really nice and is very easy to use. Reception is very good. This is an excellent radio. I had the radio professionally installed. Works great, sounds great and I am very happy with my purchase. But by the time I purchased the radio, had it installed and bought a 1 year subscription to Sirius radio I had invested $500.00. Steep, but I wanted satellite radio and I now have what I wanted and I am very happy with the unit. I bought this over 2 years ago and am still using it daily in my automobile. I have had it in 3 different cars now and am still happy with it's performance. I like the ability to change the color, which was useful when I went from a car with blue displays to red displays. Portability is great. I bought my husband the original Sportster about 4-5 years ago for Christmas and it was on it's last leg. So I bought him the newest edition (5) this year (2008) for Christmas. It is so awesome! The colors are really cool...you can activate a ticker to display...you can pause it for 45 minutes...etc. We love the newest version of the Sportster and love that it is compact too!Customer Review: Sweet Sounds

Purchased the Sportster 5 a few years ago. Excellent radio, superior sound, reliable crystal clear reception, and automatic renewal. It's painless.
All the great tunes that I want to hear, all the time. If your tired of all the bull crap commercials after every other song, switch to trouble free, non stop satellite music. It will renew your interest in taking a drive.
