Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sewell PC to TV (VGA to RCA) Converter w/ All-in-One CableCustomer Review: Terrific Color Summary: 5 Stars
When I hooked this up, it worked immediately and the picture filed the TV screen perfectly.
Although there are adjustments for size, stability, color, etc. no adjustment was needed.
I agree with others that tiny letters are hard to read, but this is just a characteristic of the interlaced TV video.
What really amazed me was the terrific color. I suppose you'd call it "well saturated."
.FLV video on my laptop AND main computer always looked washed-out. Colors were very "thin."
So I thought this was just a characteristic of .FLV video.
Not so ! This converter makes a 200% improvement in color quality compared to my computer
monitors. Now the .FLV video color is about as good as a DVD playing directly. (Although the resolution isn't quite as good, of course. More like you'd expect from a video tape.)
As an Engineer who tried to design something like this 25 years ago when color computer monitors went for over $500, I can see that there has been a lot of progress. Congratulations to the Engineer on this unit !
Highly recommended !
Description of Sewell PC to TV (VGA to RCA) Converter w/ All-in-One CableUsing the Sewell PC to TV converter is easy and simple with zero software to install. The converter features an all-in-one cable that breaks out into the three cables you'll need to connect to your computer: a VGA cable, a 3.5mm stereo audio cable (aka 1/8" stereo audio or mini stereo jack), and a USB cable (just to power the converter). The all-in-one PC-side cable reduces cable clutter immensely. Once the VGA, 3.5mm audio, and USB is connected, you'll just need to connect the red, white, and yellow (right/left audio and composite video respectively) ports to your TV with the provided cables. This unit also supports S-Video output to the TV (optional).
