I have been using these headphones for over 3 years now, and have never regretted them. They have been through hell and back - I sew for a living, and I've used them off and on for many, many hours, ranging from 40 hours a week during busy work times to ~10 hours a week while I'm at school.
The closed cup design eliminates many backround sounds, while not masking all external sources. Physical noise cancelling, nothing complicated about that.
The padding has held up remarkably well for having such heavy use - I don't baby them but the plastic looks like new, the comfortable ear cushions and head bumpers are still looking great, and the original set of NiMH 600mA batteries still get over 15 hours per charge - after three years!
The base is super convenient for charging, and the LED status lights work great. The RF signal is plenty strong; I can get ~150' inside my dorm room, and although it occasionally picks up a 900MHz phone call at home, that only happens maybe once a month. Small price to pay for such great sound quality - good, solid base and did I mention they're comfortable for day after day extended wearings?
All in all, one of the best electronics investments I've made in the past five years - simply put - get these headphones! You will absolutely not regret your decision!

A few items came before this earphone that have had profound impact in my life... items like Gillette Fusion or Oral-B Triumph. This yet is another revolutionary product.
I am a new dad and have a Sony 40" LCD. I decided to get this after watching Resident Evil (to take a break in a mindless reality) with subtitles and 1-bar sound on TV.
Just received this. I held my daughter tonight while watching TV at regular volume with the headset on. She felt asleep soundly on my chest. I screamed miracle inside.
Ok. For the audiophiles, I would say this headset is not as good as Grado r60, but it's definitely amazing for watching tv wirelessly. I can watch tv with the volume completely down (perhaps it's a function of my tv) and the sound is perfect. The range is great. Having owned a Sony first generation wireless headset (back in 1992), this range is better. Although I found the infrared Sony wireless had less hiss when you are standing in the line of sight of the headset.
The convenience of charging the headset on the cradle is ingenious. The headset is also comfortable to wear for a big headed guy :-)
In summary, the combination of sound quality, convenience of hassle-free charging, wireless range, and comfort makes this headset a great buy.

I bought this for my husband since he loves watching sports and he is a TV fanatic....he doesn't like to miss anything. I was skeptical since I hadn't really heard of this brand-but decided to try them anyway since there were so many good reviews on this product versus the others, also I figured if it didn't work out I could return them to amazon. When he got them he seemed excited yet it wasn't til he used them on football Sunday that he expressed how much he liked them. He can go from room to room, and even upstairs into our bedroom and not miss a minute-he says the reception is good anywhere he goes in the house! Best yet he can blast it as loud as he wants(he is a bit hard of hearing in one ear) and it doesn't interfere with what I am watching in the other room like the TV used to. I don't feel like my house is a bachelor pad all weekend when sports are on. The volume is adjustable with a click on the headphones themselves so he can change it whenever he wants. The headphones rest on the charger when not in use so they always have plenty of charge. He says they are super comfortable as well. I really cannot think of any negatives on this product. Some people might be hesitant of the price but it's honestly worth it to pay a bit more for something that really works.Customer Review: Great

The headset was bought for my slightly deaf father. He lives in a nursing home and has a roommate. I chose the RS-140 because it had the "closed cans" to shut out the (also hearing impaired) roommate's TV etc while allowing my father to hear his TV. The setup works great. The separate volume for each earphone allows perfect balance to compensate for differential hearing ability in each ear. If you want to be able to hear the room as well as the music go with the RS-130 to get the "open cans". I used the headset during the setup and found no fault with the sound quality or reproduction and there doesn't appear to be any interferance from other electronic devices. He sometimes wears the headset "down the hall" and the quality doesn't begin to degrade (through concrete block walls in a steel frame building full of medical equipment) for about 80 feet -- in open air I'm sure it would be double that. The headset is comfortable and the charging arrangement is transparent to the user. My father found the charging stand "a little tippy" because he has to reach the headset with a grabber from a wheelchair across a bed. Mounting the charging base fixed that. A person using their hands would not have this problem at all.Customer Review: Good for mobile laptop listening.

Good for laptop listening in a office/ laboratory kind of place which involves lot of walking around and still one can listen clearly to the audio.
Signal is clear across two rooms and in to third room in a row (with wood partitions) also.
Less static within the range.
Over the ear kind but doesn't feel heavy.
Volume is quite good.
Satisfied with the sound quality.
Charging is the favorite part. Just hang on the headphone to the holder and it is done.
I used USB2 card plus along with a USB sound card headphone adaptor in my laptop as source since the headphone jack of my laptop was not working properly.
Minus:
VERY BIG.
It cups over the ear but NOT noise canceling. Just dampens external noise.
Still not used to locate the control knobs behind the ear properly but that is minor.
I would love a wireless headphone with this range of movement and with noise canceling also as the surrounding of my work place is noisy. I did not do much research to find out just that kind of product.
Over all. I am Ok with this product but will look around after a couple of years to see a much smaller one.
