Customer Review: Sounds Great!! Even on the treadmill !!

I bought these headphones mainly to use when walking/running on the treadmill. I was afraid the treadmill would interfere with the reception, but I have not had any problems at all with the reception when running the treadmill. I can hear my TV shows quite well while on the treadmill without having to turn the sound up to blasting. I also have hooked them to my computer monitor to watch streaming video from the internet during my workouts with great results. I also found that the range of these headphones is great. I've used them all over the house in rooms other than where the base is, as well as in my backyard (2+ acres) and have had no problems. I even hooked them to my ipod in the house while I was using a noisy leaf blower outside. I had previously tried to use the ipod and leafblower at the same time and found the leaf blower too noisy for the ipod headphones even at its highest level. These headphones worked wonders in blocking out the leaf blower motor while allowing me to listen to my music at a comfortable level. By a fluke in the wishlist I received two of these for Christmas, but I could not be happier. I use one set on my gaming PC at home and the second set at work.
I have a small head and often find headphones are far too large. These headphones fit very well and are VERY comfortable for long gaming sessions. The audio in my games is the best I've ever had on headphones out of the 5 I've owned so far.
These headphones are pretty fun at work too because I can wear them and listen to music while moving around the building. The range is very good.
I do get more pops and crackle when roaming about my apartment than at work, but there are a lot of electronic devices in a small space here not to mention the other apartments. It's really not much of a bother though since I'm mostly sitting at my computer.
I've killed a few headphones from running over the cords and once my boyfriend accidentally broke my favorite set after vacuuming over the cord. I don't have to worry about that with these headphones.

Anyone over 50 who has listened to a lot of rock music for the past three decades probably has some form of tinnitus. That said, if there is a hiss or static in these headphones I cannot hear it. I've plugged it into high end home theater with TV, my stereo amp, and my 13" Trinitron next to my computer monitor and I think the sound clarity is as good as my top-of-the-line 20 year old wired Koss that the Sennheiser is replacing. I've got an average size head, and wearing these for several hours feels just fine to me. The controls seem well positioned, I've been reaching up and adjusting the volume over and over without once having a problem. The range is very good through walls in a large house, but my use of the phones is mostly within 50 feet and the sound is excellent. The surround sound is not much more than I expected, after all these are headphones not room speakers. My expectations for headphones were not huge, and I do not require recording studio monitor quality, so for me these are really nice headphones that I would recommend to my friends.Customer Review: Great wireless headset

This is the second set of these wireless headsets that I have purchased. Both were delivered promptly and worked right out of the box. All adapter connectors come with the set-up. I have purchased other wireless headphone and speaker systems with much less success (usually failing within one year). After 3 years my first set are still going strong. Be sure to replace the rechargeable batteries once a year to avoid having the battery leak and destroying the set.
I use one set at work, where I can still receive reasonable quality 50 feet away through three metal studded walls.
My second set covers my entire house (3 floors). The headset itself is well cushioned and covers the ears comfortably, blocking out ambient noise. You may need to elevate the transmitter section to get optimal coverage if you are using it in a cube farm. There is a slight delay when it is detecting the input signal before relaying it to the headset, so if you are trying to do editing of a recording you may not be able to queue properly.

I first purchased a set of RCA wireless headphones and much to my disappointment they were terrible. I was then waiting for the RS-130's to go on sale, around $120, and decided it was time to change. I have had a great experience with them so far. The sound is rich and clear when in range to the transmitter. It takes a few second to re-tune to the source once you move from room to room, but after wards the audio is as if you were standing next to it. The headphones are adjustable, making them very comfortable for me, plus the large padded ear cups are great. The volume control on the right side is also another useful feature. I listen to all varieties of music, Metal, Rock, Classical, Rap, and found faithful reproduction of all types. The SRS feature helps to open up classical music but is otherwise useless. I would highly recommend the RS-130's for anyone looking for a set of RF Wireless Headphones. I am not sure I would spend the MSRP of $180+, but AMAZON had a great deal and made it really worth it, Thanks AMAZON.
