Customer Review: Awesome!
Summary: 5 Stars

Bought these a few weeks ago...Christmas present to myself. I've never owned any wireless headphones before so I don't have any comparison in that regard. What I have used in the past are wired headphones. Are these as good as those? No! But compared to my expectations, these headphones are awesome! Just for your info, I'm using these for TV & movies, not for any high end audio.

It was very easy to set up. When I first set everything up, the sound quality contained a lot of static, but following another reviewer's suggestion, I turned the source volume near max & turned the headphone volume down & the result is excellent. I've got these set up on the second floor of a 2 story house & I can walk around pretty much anywhere in the house & still get excellent reception. When you reach the distance limits, the sound comes & goes but the quality remains.

Another thing that impressed me was the ease & stability with which the headphones sit on/connect to the base/charger. Also, a red indicator light on the base unit makes it very easy to determine headphones' charge status. In my use, I've never drained the batteries. The base also has a green power & yellow surround indicator lights

Bottom line...from my experience, if you want wireless headphones, you can't go wrong with the RS-130s.

Customer Review: Excellent for use with TV / Cable
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this item primarily for use when viewing TV and movies. It very effectively blocks outside noise such as the air conditioner which was my main intent, but I also found the quality of the sound was so good that I was able to clearly hear low spoken conversations and subtle background sounds that I would have otherwise missed.

There is a "surround" button, which for me, just seems to add a level of reverberation and does not significantly add to the overall quality, so I leave it turned off. Others may find this a nice feature.

I found the earpiece padding to be fairly comfortable and can easily be worn over eyeglasses without any problem. Having the on/off and volume controls on the earphones is very convenient.

Soon after I received the headphones, I ordered a second set. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that both headphones can work off of one transmitter. This enabled me to hook one transmitter to my cable box and the other one to the DVD player. To me this is important, since the quality of the sound from the TV audio out jacks is not nearly as good as the audio out from the Cable box and DVD player. It therefore, eliminates the need to swap cable connections to achieve the highest quality sound.

Overall I am very pleased with this item and would highly recommend it.

Customer Review: Great Performance

I can't tell you how much better these wireless headphones are than my old Radio Shack pair. With the Radio Shack pair there was constant poping and hissing noises, even when you were very close to the base. With the Sennheiser there are absolutely none of these annoying sounds. The stereo effect and the overall sound quality is amazing. There have been times when I have been watching TV with these headphones on that I have actually turned my head to see what that sound was in the kitchen! I keep forgetting about the stereo effect. I don't have a surround sound system but I can't imagine how the effect could be any better than with these headphones. Also, the open-air design of the headphones allows you to hear sounds in the house - this could be good or bad depending on your situatuion. In my case it is a good thing. Finally, the headphones hold their charge for a long time (more than three hours at least). But this isn't really that big of a deal since it is no problem to just place the headphones back on the stand to recharge. There is no drawback to recharging before they are drained. I don't know that much about the other versions of these headphones from Sennheiser but this model is just right for me. They allow me to listen to the TV or Stereo without bothering anyone in the house.

Customer Review: Sennheiser RS 130 wireless headphones
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had a set of Koss Pro4-AA wired headphones for about 35 years. They're so spectacular they were discontinued then re-introduced to the marketplace. These have always served as a point of reference for me. Of course, they require you to stay as close to the source as the cord allows. I needed a set of headphones that were not constrained by a cord but were affordable and accurate as though they were wired. Hours of research on the "Net" led me to the Sennheiser RS 130's and I'm glad I made that choice. They run at 900 MegaHertz so there's absolutely no crosstalk from any wireless computer setup within range, important in apartments. I listen to a lot of jazz with it's subtle drum and bass work that's very important to me. The RS 130's capture it all. I've tried listening to them both with and without the surround turned on. The surround adds another dimension to the sound that makes it fell more "alive" but it's up to you. My home has plaster walls which can be difficult to get a signal through. The RS 130's reach as far as I need them to but there are a couple dead spots at the outer limits of their published range. I'm sure if I experimented with transmitter location I could solve this but it's not a problem for me. The RS 130's are a quality product at a reasonable price.

Customer Review: Utterly Fantastic Sennheiser RS130 Surround Sound Wireless Head Phones
Summary: 5 Stars

I received my Sennheiser RS130 headphones on Monday 1/14/2008. After hooking up the transmitter/charger and putting the batteries in the headphones, I put the headphones on to charge overnight. Please note I was a good boy and followed the instructions to the letter. It sure was hard to not jump the gun so to speak. On Tuesday morning after breakfast I could not stand the suspense any longer. I turned on the 50" Sony HDTV and put the headphones on and was totally amazed at what I was hearing. Utterly Fantastic is the phrase I like to describe the experience. I first tried the Country Music Channel without the surround sound turned on and was completely satisified with the sound quality I was hearing. I then switched to one of the movie channels which happened to be showing one of the Star Wars movies and after a few minutes I decided it was time to check out the Surround Sound feature. When I turned it on it completely blew my Mind. It sounded like I was in one of the state of the art movie theaters, All of the highs, mids and lows were there and really sounded surround. All of the action sounds moving left to right and all around were there. Also there was no hiss or crackle of any kind. While walking around the house I did not experience any fading or dropped signals. I
