Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sennheiser PMX80 In-Ear Sport Series II Behind the Head EarphonesCustomer Review: Finally! Headphones that last more then a month! Summary: 5 Stars
I have finally found a pair of headphones that last! I previously had went through numerous pairs of headphones that 1) did NOT last more then a month or two before one side lost it's audio and 2) were comfortable enough for a nice long run. I then found a pair of PMX 70's! These were awesome, very comfortable, and actually lasted me for 2 years before finally going out (roughly 2,000 miles of running). I then replaced these with this pair of headphones (Sennheiser PMX 80) and I must admit they are equally as good as the PMX 70s! I will now forever be faithful to these headphones for all my running needs! They are very comfortable and even remain that way for runs as long as 20 miles! Again, I will continue to stick with this line of headphones - though I will probably bot need another pair for a couple more years!
Customer Review: Great for runners Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased these after reading a review from a runner who claimed that these headphones were perfect for runners because of their great fit and they never needed to fuss with or re-adjust them in the middle of a run. This is completeley true. After trying a number of other headphones that claim to be designed as "fitness", "workout", or active use headphones, and that required constant readjustment because they fell off, fell out or shifted out of place with the slightest movement, I think I finally found the product that lives up to its marketing claim. Since I've only had them for a few weeks I can't speak to durability (other products I've tried stopped working on one side within months), but they seem very sturdy and well-constructed. Sound quality is also very good.
Customer Review: Replacing my PMX-70 Headphones Summary: 5 Stars
I use these neckband-style headphones exclusively for running, so keeping the set firmly in my ears, yet allowing traffic noise to be heard, is very important to me. I previously owned the Sennheiser PMX-70 phones (green color), which worked fine until the mini-jack plug broke off (unrepairable). So, it was a little like a leap of faith to buy this other model by Sennheiser, hoping that the same problem won't reoccur. So far, so good tho it's only been a few weeks of using these. I like the sound quality, and the neckband certainly stays firmly in the ears (you have to wear these long enough to get used to the slight inward pressure on the ears). While listening to my Droid music player, I can still hear vehicles in my area during my jogs so I do feel safe on busy streets.
Customer Review: Solid so far Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using these headphones for about a month, and have been pleasantly surprised with them. I'm a pretty serious runner that sweats a lot, and the only headphones that have really worked for me are the behind the head style. I was using the the Sony mdr-as30g's prior to this pair, which I really liked, but these are noticeably superior. They fit a little more snugly, yet not uncomfortably, and the sound quality is quite noticeably better. You can also immediately tell that the build quality is more solid than the Sony's.
My only minor gripe is that the cord is a little too long. It does come with a clip to help with the extra, but unless you're planning on strapping your music player to your thigh, you really don't need the length.
Customer Review: Great headphones for an active listener Summary: 5 Stars
These headphones are a great solution for people whose ears don't work well with earbuds. For me they always fall out if I am moving around. These headphones are quite comfortable (they could use a little bit more flexibility), and they always stay in place. The sound quality is good. The only drawback I have found was mentioned in a previous review and I can confirm that sometimes the plastic will telescope the sounds of something brushing against it right up to your ear. This doesn't really bother me much since I have developed a cord configuration that eliminates this in my daily use. What really has me satisfied with these is the price (I got them marked down to $34) and the ability to rinse them off after a sweaty run.
Definitely worth it.
