Standard earbuds do not stay in my ears. They simply fall out with the slightest movement. As a result, I've been on a quest for an alternative. I've tried countless over-the-ear models, and some that press down into the ear canal. Each have fallen short in one way or the other, whether it be sound quality, comfort, or durability. So after reading the glowing reviews, it was with guarded optimism that I ordered the Sennheiser PMX80s. All I can say is WOW! I'm simply blown away. They fit comfortably and securely during my workouts (including running), and the sound quality is the best I've heard so far in sports oriented ear phones. They strike an excellent balance between treble, mids, & bass, without any of the tinny, "overly bright" sound, nor the muddy "sound in a tunnel" effect I've experienced with the others. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a strong alternative to the ubiquitous earbud.Customer Review: As good as it gets

I've been searching for a good set of jogging/workout headphones for my iPhone for some time. This was my 5th pair in 2 years. Every set of headphones before this had a major flaw. Either they fell out while running, had too much of a "tinny" sound and not enough bass and range, were not comfortable, etc. I finally scoured Amazon and came upon the Sennheiser PMX80s. I have a pair of over the ear Sennheiser I use for music why on my computer and love then. So, I decided to go with the PMX80s. I have to say that these are the best. Unlike my previous headphones, there are no major flaws in the design and sound. There is a good range in the treble and bass. The sound is clear. The earbud sits comfortably on the head and snug in the ear. They don't bounce on your head or tug while running. The cord coming off of the headphone is light and unobtrusive. I've been using iPods for many years, always with the standard Apple earbuds. But earbuds don't work well for me at all while jogging, spin cycling, weight lifting, and otherwise working out. These Sennheiser headphones solved my workout problems. This style is comfortable and secure during all of these activities. You could do jumping jacks, and they would not fall out. They accomplish all this without hurting my ears in any way.
The sound quality is very good, with especially bright treble. I've learned not to expect booming base from miniature headphone speakers; these are as good as any headphones of this size. The headphones also look "sick." The included wire clip is useful for securing extra cord so that it doesn't slap around while working out.
I'm so happy to have graduated from the standard Apple earbuds to something that really works for me.

These buds are awesome.
I sweat like crazy when I run so my first priority for buds is STAY IN MY EARS. These buds have done that job phenomenally since day 1 (I've had them for about a year).
They sound great all the way through even on half marathons, only limited by my cheap mp3 player i presume.
Only complaint (mentioned in one of the other reviews as well) is sometimes when enough sweat gets in you ear it can create like a cave sounding effect. Which is awful and makes me want to throw a kitten. When it happens I usually will take the phones off for a awhile/the rest of my run. Now I have learned to run with a headband so not as much sweat gets in my ear as before, delaying this TERRIBLE cave sound thing that happens (on occasion).
As soon as my current pair crap out, I will immediately get another pair on amazon.

I have been using my Bose headset to run for the past 5 months. They are great and really reduce external noise but I needed a lighter weight earphone that I could use that would still have great sound quality and be comfortable. I have small ear holes and have always had trouble wearing earbuds. I ordered the PMX80 after reading the reviews on Amazon and out at Runners World. I have not been disappointed. In fact I've actually found them very comfortable and they have really good sound quality. The first day of running my left ear hurt just a little and the second day my right ear did but in the 3 or 4 weeks since then I've had no trouble at all. I find them very comfortable and the don't slip at all. Today I actually wore them while I was doing an aerobic workout and once again they performed wonderfully. I would definately recommend them to my friends and family.
