Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sennheiser PC 350 Collapsible Gaming Headset with Vol Control & Microphone MuteCustomer Review: OMG WOW Summary: 5 Stars
First off I want to say I'm a drummer and love everything about drumming. I have been drumming for over 14 years and I LOVE the way drums sound. I am pretty sure my hearing isn't as good as it used to be, but these phones sound amazing. If you want boomy bass these may not me for you, BUT these headphones do have bass. It's accurate bass, it's tight bass, and if you listen to certain types of music (techno, rap) it WILL boom. But it only booms when intended.
When I hear a song that starts off with drums on these, it is like audio porn. It sounds like a drummer is sitting right in front of me playing. And if I loop it through my subwoofer to play at the same time it feels like a drummer is there too. But i rarely do that, just had to test it once. These were so good I couldn't hear my sub at all, I could feel it though.
If you are looking for an amazing set of headphones with a built in mic these are for you, but be sure to get an amp to push em. They sound really good plugged right into my iphone, but when I amp em I drool. I drool a lot.
As far as the rest of the headset features, my previous experiences with headsets were xbox and xbox 360 headsets. So trying to compare the two is like comparing a Pinto to a Lexus. Like comparing an Emmerson to a Dennon. Or even comparing a homeless guy to Superman. The senns are Superman btw, lol. I only use the mic to talk to my guildmates over vent and Mumbles in wow. They say im super clear, some people even have to turn me down. One person was like "dude I can hear your hangy down thingy." It was a huge improvement over my laptop's built in mic.
Customer Review: Like an orgy in my ears! Summary: 5 Stars
This is truly a excellent headphone and one of the best I had ever owned. The sound quality is crystal clear and crisp and I was able to hear instruments, beats, and melody in songs that I never knew was there. The bass output is outstanding and you can literally go deaf if you set the volume all the way up.
The microphone is good although I didn't really get a chance to test it out thoroughly but I can say it's does not have and echo that plague some of the other mic.
Now if you're a gamer like me this is where the product truly shine. It has directional sound. Meaning that I can pinpoint my enemies on bfbc2 if they made a shot within proximity to where I'm at. Nothing is more fun then hearing a sniper make a shot, while hiding up a hill thinking he is safe and secure only to find me sticking a combat knife into his back.
The headphone is made out of high quality material and it doesn't look like it will fall apart anytime soon.
I been using it for 2 months now and it still looks and function just like the day I received them, Keep in mind that I purchase a REFURBISH pair.
Although there are a few qualm with this headphone. And that is the noise canceling muff. It works too well... It's like when I speak into the mic, I can't hear my own voice. Or if someone is calling out to me, I ignore them because I didn't even hear them! But in no way should you consider my little complaint as a con because that was the way it was design.
All in all I highly recommend this headphone to all you gamers out there. It is reasonably priced, high quality, and comfortable. This thing kick ass!
Customer Review: GREAT Headset Summary: 5 Stars
Pros: Great sound! I use these with my laptop and I great sound with games. There is ample base to give explosions a nice deep growl, yet they are clear enough to allow the lightest of sounds to be heard. Audio conversations also come through loud and clear through applications such as Skype or Ventrilo. The earpieces fit nicely over the ear, butting no pressure on the ear itself. They also block a great deal of sound from around you, so you can immerse yourself in the game you're playing. The microphone also works great and flips up for when not in use.
Cons: Kind of heavy. Not overly so (and you kind of expect this heft with ear-cup headsets), but after a couple hours with them on, you start to feel it on the over-the-head band. For me the cable is a little on the long side. It's not a thin cable, so it can add to the weight of the headset if you don't carefully place the excess. I know some people like to have long cables for freedom of movement, but for me it is a little cumbersome. A good idea would have been a cable extension for those people who required a longer cord. Really this is just a niggle! One thing I think is important to point out is that these are not the greatest for listening to music. While they are certainly adequate for the casual listener, for someone more into the music might want to spring for some better suited for this endeavor.
Overall, I'm extremely please with these. They're a little pricey, but I was sick of settling for $60 or cheaper headsets that weren't up to par. If you can afford them, they're near the top of the list for gaming headsets.
Customer Review: Awesome headset for GAMING Summary: 5 Stars
I own a few headsets (Logitech Pro, AD700,Sens595, TBx1,x4) I play competitive level for Call of Duty games and Halo. Before I purchased the pc350 I was using my Sens 595 or my AD700 with the zalman mic. The sound stage is great BUT the issue is the mic. I have a fan or ac blowing in the room not to mention my two dogs, the mic picks up that sound. I need a more versatile and adaptable headset w/ mic. The AAI found the PC350. The first time I used it i thought this headset was terrible. I read posts on audiophile sites and one big thing is you have to burn it in. I have never believed in it, I always thought it's a myth BUT it works. I connected my PC350 to my spare PC and just had it run hours and hours of music (ranges for hip, hip, rock, house music, ambient, white noise) make sure it's random. after 100+ hours I cannot believe my ears it's like a total different headset out of the box with booming highs, lows, mids and bass (YES is said bass) +I use an ASTRO MixAmp+. Also, is see in hear people giving negative reviews for music? who cares, this headset is made for GAMING. To me the sound stage is EXCELLENT just like my ad700 and the mic is super clear. People online tell me that my voice is the clearest that they have ever heard from anyone. The exact words was "my voice sounds CRISP"
note- mic on this DOES not pick up my fan nor my dogs. If you have a soft low voice or you whisper the mic will not pick it up. You have to talk "normal" tones.
Anyways, I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any question)\
ps: as far as negatives nothing yet so far
Customer Review: Just picked these up Summary: 5 Stars
Was real anxious to get these because I was currently using Senheisser 151's for years and years until they finally broke on me which was my fault.
So these headsets come in and the package is pretty cool, the box it came in was well packaged so that there was no damage done to it. These headsets are real sexy, real sleek black all around, very smooth, very durable, and fits perfectly on my head the moment i put it on. Immediately i start listening to music and I was very impressed on the sound quality I heard.
Now I mainly bought these headsets for gaming of course but mainly for gaming on my ps3 for FPS games or late at night when I rather use headsets.
I plug the headsets in my LG TV just recently bought too, and I play FF13 and the sound quality seemed very muffled. Not sure if many people are using this headset for a console game but does anyone know why this might be? I also notice that I cannot plug my mic cord into the T.V so I'm guessing I need an adapter of some sort to connect these two together. I did some research and came across people saying that they bought a sound USB and connected the 3.5mm cord into the USB that connected into the Ps3? Does that help increase the quality of sound on headphones? I'm very confused at the moment if anyone has info on this please let me know.
Other than that the product is great. I did many comparing with headsets and realized the specs on these headsets plus the look and the fit is definitely worth its price. I look at a headset as something I plan on having for a long time so definitely worth the investment.
