I had these headphones for a couple of years before I finally gave up on them, or I suppose they gave up on me. The sound is noticeably better than the standard iPod headphones, but the iPod volume had to get turned up. The looks are a bit odd at first but pretty soon you don't care. I found they fit well but after extended use their shape would hurt my hear. They're slightly adjustable vertically for different ear shapes. In general, the shape suits its purpose: these headphones don't fall out easily. I used them happily during aggressive workouts.
As others have found, the wiring is not durable. After about 18 months it started fraying. Electrical tape only delayed the inevitable, but then they only looked more ridiculous. Because of the wrap-around shape, the wires are constantly getting tangled, a problem that the neat-looking case does not solve. This tangling is much worse than for "regular" headphones. Finally, the green "gaskets" that wrap around the speakers can fall off. They give you a differently shaped spare set, but eventually those get lost, too, and the speakers are uncomfortable in your ear without these gaskets. I bought a replacement set from Sennheiser but I had to hold my nose: more than $10 for 3 pairs of small flimsy plastic rings! It wasn't worth it.
