Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sennheiser OMX 70 Clip-On In-Ear Stereo Sport Headphone (Green)Customer Review: Sennheiser OMX70 Clip-On Summary: 4 Stars
Very comfortable design for all gym activities - they stay put whatever you do. Perfect for running. The only downside is the lack of bass and a fairly large amount of background noise getting through.
Customer Review: Great for running Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this headset because it has the great sound quality and it is a perfect headset for runners........I love it!!!!
Customer Review: Good, practical earphones Summary: 4 Stars
Good sound reproduction. But best for me, they don't fall out, and are still very light and comfortable
Customer Review: Nothing to write home about. Summary: 3 Stars
While they are comfortable to wear (well, to me they are), these earphones would be better if they could swivel, like the B&O A8 earphones, a little feature that could increase the already quite good comfort & fit of these gremlins. Being advertised as water-resistant, I was hoping that the sound would be less sensitive to sweat/water running into my ear when I exercise. But the earphones fail on this front: The sound immediately drops to the tinny quality of any generic pair of earphones. Another nuisance is that the cord is a rather stiff plastic that keeps its form, i.e., a slinky (see product photo), that bobs up-and-down when I exercise (a nice gesture of annoyance) unless I use the clip (ibid) to restrain the cord. And another thing, the green is.. ummm... tasteless. Then again, I remember Sony walkmens being that disgusting yellow before Sony turned to that orange. I guess Sennheiser chose the lesser evil of color palettes. To end on a good note, I really like that they aren't ruined when they get wet. And(!) they come in a case with a variety of earbud things, though I don't understand the difference between the two green earbuds. I imagine there is a better set of earphone to exercise with out there (e.g., Bang & Olufsen A8), but I wouldn't drop $160 on the A8s because you are probably not interested in high-fidelity sound while trying to stay fit/lose weight. Get these squishy green things, they're cheaper to replace and sound quite decent. Oh, these blow the iPod earphones out of the water.
Customer Review: Not bad, but I'm still looking for ideal. Summary: 3 Stars
Having used the Sennheiser PMX70 Sport Line Stereo Neckband Headphones for a few years, I was looking for something that would offer the same sound quality, but also work when wearing a hat or headband in the colder months. These looked to be the most logical choice.
Unfortunately, they seem to only fit one type of ear since they are more or less non-adjustable (they do have one adjustment, but it doesn't seem to be the right kind). Unless I'm standing still and actively pressing them in to my ear, they are not snug enough in my ear canal to offer the sound quality they're capable of (I assume they use the same driver and construction as they PMX70).
On the plus side, they are pretty comfortable and I'm certain they'll prove rugged. I've worn the PMX through rain, snow, basically every bit of weather you probably shouldn't wear them in. I've had to use some super glue to repair the headphone plug (the rubber pieces came apart), but they still sound the same as the day I bought them.
If these do work with your ears, good for you. You've got a product worth five stars.
