I recently bought an ipod nano with the nike+ system, and realized that the included ear buds wouldn't do at all. So I looked around the web for some ear buds that I can run with, and these seemed to come up with good reviews on some sites. After owning a pair of sennheiser circumaurals, I was pretty sure the sound quality would at least be decent, and I was right; these buds did not disappoint on sound quality. Also, these buds fit my ear well (after a small adjustment) and stay in place. They don't reach into the ear canal, but rather sit on top of it. Even so, they are comfortable and sound good (much better than the standard ipod buds). However, there are a few areas where these buds are lacking:
1. Lack of real cord management: The clip hardly cuts it. Also, the ipod buds outdo these by having a slider that reduces tangling. These don't, and really need them.
2. The case: Although it was nice of them to provide a case, I would have preferred that they had not. It's cumbersome to put the buds into the case, and almost as bad to pry them out. The case should have been a key feature, not an afterthought. Perhaps they can design a case with some kind of cord management and kill two birds with one stone. This case looks like a cheap rubber coin purse with a magnetic snap closure (oh wait, it is).
3. The color: I'm almost embarassed to take these into the gym. I think sennheiser should rethink their color scheme the next time around. Although they do make me want to run faster so no one sees me with them (an unintended advantage, I'm sure).
4. Wire casing: I agree, the wire casing is flimsy. I'm definitely keeping my receipt and proof of purchase, because I'm almost certain that I'm going to need it.
Despite all these setbacks, the sennheisers are still great performers, and I would recommend them to anyone who doesn't mind a tangled neon green mess.

If you are looking for head phones that stay on when you lift and run these are for you. The size is comparable to the ear buds that come with your Ipod, but much more comfortable. If you have problems with the size of the buds that came with your Ipod you may want to continue looking. I have looked for headphones for the gym for months (Purchased 4 different pair). I finally found a pair that the cord is split evenly between the right and left ear. Nothing has irritated me in previous headphones than the left cord being 6 inches long and the right being 12 inches. I understand what they were trying to achieve but I could NEVER get them to stop tugging on the left while running. I run between 3-6 miles daily and these DO NOT Budge.
As for the sound, they meet and exceed my needs for the Gym/Running. I have read a several reviews complaining about the bass being substandard, but if you want a perfect acoustic balance you should not be considering a LIME GREEN pair for $40 bucks. The fact is these are SPORTS headphones, not for setting in your living room listening to the sweet balanced melody of New York Philharmonic. Gimme a break people!!!
I would just like to add that this is the first review I have ever written and am doing so only try to bring the overall feed back rating of these up. I ALMOST let the negative review of these sway me from purchasing. I hope my review will give future buyers some perspective on what to expect from these headphones. These will not get a perfect score because of the sizing, but I think that if you truly want something for the gym/running these are for you.

i work in theater, as a lighting technitican, we lighting people tippily do our work while the sound guys blast us with white noise, (testing their equipment or attempt to blow out our ears)
regardless of the sound peoples intent, after a few years of this kind of job im loseing some range of hearing, its hard for me to lisin to my music, because the headphones i buy rest on your ears, or dont fit properly inside them, these headphones come with very small adaptors, kinda diffrent rubber plugs that will help them fit in your ears better
thus far, iv been able o lisin to older CD's and i feel like i have my full range of hearing back being once agian able to hear the sutble things in the back ground that i used to think where there but couldent hear anymore, and on new cd's it sounds better than i ever expected, and cant hear over even the most expeincive of speaker systems
granted they dont help with normal conversation, because i have to pull them out, if they did however, they would be the best headphones in the world

I bought these headphones for use with my MP3 player for running. They are extremely comfortable, especially with the large ear pads. A side benefit of the large pads is they keep the winter wind out of your ears. Most ear buds just fall out of my ears but these stay put with their adjustable ear clips. I also have the Bose Tri-port ear bud phones that I use with my ipod video. The sound quality on the OMX70's is VERY smooth in the midrange and high range but a bit lighter on the low end than the BOSE. Adjustment of the equalizer on my MP3 adds low end without distortion resulting in a very smooth balanced sound. I really like these headphones. I bought a second pair for my wife for her Nano. The combination of the ear clips and the clip for the cord which helps manage the cable while running and keeps any tension from the headphones if you pull or even drop your mp3 player, makes them excellent for being out and about or exercising. Highly recommended unless you are looking for bass pounding hip hop phones, then look elsewhere.
