Customer Review: Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones
Summary: 5 Stars

These headphones are great. I use them for studio recording, and laying down tracks. I am a musician, and I simply needed good headphones with superb sound quality. These do the job.

I play guitar, and I am constantly writing music, so I needed a decent pair of headphones. When you record, you cannot rely on stereo speakers for basing your final sound, and mastering. These headphones have a very clean and crisp sound, while also laying down great bass. I play heavy metal, so I need all of the above. I need to hear clean crisp drum beats, double kicks, while also hearing clean crisp melodic guitar tracks, and crisp vocals. These headphones work great for all of this.

The long cord is great so you can literally walk around, like when I am laying down tracks, I can walk all the way over to my guitar cab and make the adjustments that are needed, with guitar in hand, without laying down the guitar, the headphones, then going over to do it.

Also, for this price, you cannot go wrong. I mean honestly, who is goign to waste a ton of money on headphones, like a thousand bucks, when that is complete nonsense? You know how easily accidents can happen, how easily it can only take one time to rip a cord in half, or simply have the cords short out because of too much usage. So why pay an arm and a leg for great sounding headphones, when you can get these great sounding headphones, for basically dirt cheap, and if anything happens to them, you're not out much. On top of that, you want to have something you won't be afraid to throw in your bag.

If you want great sounding headphones for recording, or if you're a DJ, or anything like that, then these are great. Just a note, if you use these in a workplace or anything, a lot of noise makes it out of these headphones when you have them on, so others around you may be bothered by it. Just a precaution.

Customer Review: Great Product for the Price Offered
Summary: 5 Stars

I just purchased the Sennheiser 595's for gaming purposes and pared with an X-FI soundcard they are phenomenal. However I would never travel with those. So I picked up a pair of HD202s.

PROS:

Price: the price for these headphones is astounding considering the sound that they provide.

Sound Quality: these headphones really outperform themselves. The sound quality is great for the price, the mids and highs are good. Bass is good but not overly strong. They are semi-sound blocking.

Durability: Not sure yet, I've only had them for a few days now. The band feels weak, but the foam feels good.

Comfort: Its great, I have a huge head and they fit nicely. Cord is VERY long.

CONS:

They feel a little cheap. Not as tough as I'd like, luckily I usually take very good care of my stuff so hopefully they'll last.

Cord length? Is this really a con?

I'm using these to travel with, I don't fly so I take the train. I use them for my Ipod and laptop. They cut out most background noise quite well, the sound is great. They don't need power to drive them so they work well with MP3 players. Cord is very long but luckily they include a belt clip for that. These headphones cover my ears, but not like the HD595s do, these just sit right on your ears. It sounds uncomfortable but its actually not. The faux-leather is quite comfortable and doesn't cause too much heaton your head either.

For the price these headphones are perfect, the sound is top-notch, the cord is long and they are quite comfortable. However they do feel a little cheap in build quality. If you have kids I'm pretty sure they won't hold up. All in all these headphones are worth buying, even if your just trying them out.

Customer Review: Unbeatable for the price
Summary: 5 Stars

After having my old pair of Sony headphones stolen, I was looking for a relatively cheap pair with as good sound quality as I could find. Finding the great reviews for this pair, I went for them, and haven't been disappointed.

Comfort:
This is unfortunately the weakest part of these headphones: I have big ears, so they don't fit all the way over my ears and squish them a bit. That said, the padding is extremely comfortable and I only start having actual discomfort wearing these after a couple hours, and after taking them off for a minute or so I'm fine. If you have small ears, these would be awesome, if you have big ears, they're not too bad.

Convenience:
They're quite large, so you'll probably be using them mostly indoors. They're secure enough on the head to stay on while walking, though. They also come with a sort of spool to wrap the (quite long) cord around: it's very convenient but also surprisingly large and heavy. It has a clip on the back to attach to your clothing. Still, it's better than having all that cord getting crushed under the wheels of your chair, and I've wished for a device like that for my other headphones.

Sound:
The best part. I bought a $50 pair of earbud headphones that were supposed to have pretty good sound, but these are even better for half the price. Their frequency range is amazing (one of my songs apparently has a high-pitched tone at the beginning that the producer must not have noticed!) and unlike other headphones I have used, these don't amplify certain ranges: bass, midrange, and treble seem to be weighted equally. So you don't get really booming bass (without an equalizer) but you hear the whole song as it was meant to be heard. These are no audiophile headphones, I'm sure, but for such a cheap price they're a steal.

Customer Review: Great Headphones for the Price
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm no crazy audiophile by any means, but I'd like to think that I have a pretty good range on audio levels and outputs for different headphones, speakers, etc.

The sound dampening is fairly decent although it's nowhere near Bose quality (where you can be inside of a Sam's Club and think you're in a bookstore) but it does dampen quite a bit of noise. When wearing them, I can only slightly hear my own voice talking at normal levels and when sitting in my washroom with the dryer going, I could hear them behind me through my music, but with more volume it dies down a bit; so that gives you a bit of an idea to their sound dampening quality.

They are quite comfortable for use, but I haven't worn them longer than an hour so I can't attest to long term use. And the cord is quite long (I actually have to tie back the leftover wire to avoid tripping on it) so that's always a plus.

As to the actual sound quality, these headphones pack a great punch. I watch alot of movies on my laptop and initially was getting alot of booming noise in every film, but after adjusting the output, each movie sounded clearer than I had ever heard it before. The headphones don't require you to blast out your volume to hear everything, which is absolutely great for me.

I also tested them out on my Creative MP3 player. The headphones also read alot of bass in alot of the songs, but this can be adjusted depending on your MP3 player. If you don't have the option to adjust, they run still fine, just a little louder than you would be used to with earbuds.

All in all I think these are a great pair of headphones for the price. If you're looking for some pretty decent noise cancellation on a smaller budget, I'd definitely reccommend the Sennheiser's.

Customer Review: Very VERY Good headphones, especially for the price.
Summary: 5 Stars

Keep in mind, this is my first set of headphones above $10; my tastes in sound quality aren't the most finicky around. While I'm pleased with everything about these headphones, others may have some complaints.

Sound Quality - 10/10
There's always some way you can improve on the sound quality, but factoring in price, this is truly an amazing set of headphones. I can't really find anything wrong with it...I especially like the way the sound travels from the right to left ear, giving you the sensation that you are truly immersed in the music. It's kind of hard to describe, but its an enjoyable feeling. No complaints here.
Comfort - 9/10
The leather(ette?) padding is extremely comfortable. The cushy material on the earcups and headband keeps you from experiencing any pain after extended use (I haven't listened to these for more than one hour though). Some people have complained that it's too small. My ears fit completely inside the earcups; they seemed kind of large, but not too bulky... Apart from a slightly warm and pressured feeling on the ears (which , as another reviewer stated, is actually fairly pleasant) the phones are perfectly comfortable.
Durabilty - ???
I haven't had these for too long (a few weeks) but so far, I've experienced no problems whatsoever.
Overall-9.5
If you want comfort and sound without breaking your budget, (or if you're just tired of the cheap airline headphones) take a good look at these headphones; you won't find much better for the price.
-Note-
The headphones came with a little wind-up cord belt-clip. I don't know if that was in the description. Also, I have to hand it to Sennheiser for great packaging. I easily opened it with my fingers, no scissors needed.
