Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sennheiser EH-150 Dynamic Sound Evolution Hi-Fi Stereo Headphones

Customer Review: Excellent cans on a budget.
Summary: 5 Stars

You just can't get a better pair of full-sized headphones at this price. The sound quality is much crisper than I would have expected and the overall sound is very balanced and natural while still conveying an impressive sense of depth. They also travel quite well, assuming it's not too hot outside as the leather(ette?) earpieces and enclosed design will have your ears sweating in fairly short order. The up-side being that they also keep the noise in as well as the heat.

I've read the occasional review stating that these are not a true circum-aural design, which is false. There is no part of the unit which rests on your ear directly. The entirity of it's surface area is distributed around the ear, making them as true to the definition of circum-aural as physically possible.

To summarise, this is an excellent pair of headphones, whether you're using them at home or on the go.

As an aside, the 150's are not only easy on the eyes, but on portable devices' batteries as well. With a single-AAA mp3 player, I noticed no difference in battery life versus my 9mm in-ear buds.

Customer Review: Best Headphones I ever bought
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased a set of these headphones to use for gaming about 5 months ago, and they are holding out great. I always had bad luck with headsets, so I bought the Sennheiser EH-150's and a desktop USB microphone, and it was the best thing i could have ever done. The sound quality is phenomenal; you can hear the subtlest of tones. when you play games and watch DVDs, it feels like you are there.

They also cancel a good amount of sound from your environment. I cannot even hear my computer's fans while I am wearing these. If you are looking for headphones, or just like to listen to music without any quality loss, buy these headphones.

I only need to warn you of two things: If you wear glasses, these headphones will pressure your ears and will (over the course of a few hours) get uncomfortable. Also, the foam head pad will flatten your hair and cause others to laugh at your silliness :-P.

I suggest that anyone using headphones for their computer should dump their old ones and get a set of these, because they are the best headphones I have ever owned.

Customer Review: Sennheiser has done it again!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased these headphones after I had purchased a similar product (Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones). These were a little more expensive but worth every penny. The sound from these babies is strong and clean. The bass is enhanced slighlty yet it is not excessive. The bass is clean sounding and the mids and highs are crystal clear. I puchased these to use with my Mac Mini. These would also work very well with an iPod (or other MP3 player). The low impedance (32 ohms) makes them ideal for these devices. This is my third pair of Sennheiser headphones (I also have the previously mentioned HD 202's and I also have a pair of the very expensive HD 600's). These headphones are comfortable to wear (I fell asleep with them on the other night). They block out a lot of the ambient noise so you clearly hear the music. If you are thinking about purchasing these headphones, you will not be dissapointed! Sennheiser is known for their high qualiy, expensive, audiophile headphones and that quality and great sound has trickled down to their less expensive ones! Sennheiser has scored big time with these cans!!

Customer Review: very decent headphones
Summary: 5 Stars

When i wanted a good pair of headphones that didnt cost me more than 50 bucks, i looked around a lot, and finally settled on the sennheiser HD457.
Then i got to know of the EH-150. I had already bought the 457s and they were pretty good. But the problem was the 'open' design which led to a lot of sound going out of the headphones;something that could be a problem if you want to listen to music outside your home !!
So i decided to test the EH-150 out. Though some reviews mentioned that they arent very comfortable with the earpieces causing trouble.
And then i got my pair.

And believe me they are worth every dollar you spend on them. The sound is truly awesome and the earpieces are not at all uncomfortable. They fit the ear properly and i dont feel any trouble. And i do sit with these on for hours at a stretch.

Have been using these for a few months and have had no problems at all. The very long cord can be a pain at times but it helps you move around if you need, without having to take them off !

All in all,highly recommended.

Customer Review: Nothing better for the price
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought the Sennheiser EH-150 and Sennheiser HD-202 together after testing Rosewill, TeknMotion, Labtec, CyberAcoustics and others in the sub 30 price range. These Sennheisers absolutely blow away the competition in almost every respect: sound quality, durability, function, output volume, bass resolution, and mid-range clarity.

As noted by others, these are not super comfortable but NONE of the other Circumaural (around the ear) units I tried in the sub 30 price range are either.

The only competition in this price range is certain Supraaural (on ear) CyberAcoustics HE-200 headphones that are much more comfortable, with almost as good sound quality.

NOTES:
1) The Sennheisers have no volume control on them, so your output device controls volume 100%.
2) My ears could not tell a sound-quality difference between the EH-150 and HD-202, except that the HD-202 might have SLIGHTLY better bass.

I will buy 3 more HD-202's when I get the chance. If the HD-202 is sold out I would still buy 3 EH-150's and be just as happy.
