Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sennheiser EH-150 Dynamic Sound Evolution Hi-Fi Stereo HeadphonesCustomer Review: I have had these for almost 2 years now, and they are still kickin'! Summary: 5 Stars
These headphones i got for my birthday the year before last, and here it is coming up again in a few months. I have bought Sennheiser headphones before, such as the hd 202, and earbuds. The HD 202's lasted me a good year. while the earbuds lasted 6 months. And my first pair along time ago lasted along time as well. So i knew it was coming from a great company! But these headphones are special. when i am not running or weight lifting I will use these over any other earbuds. i actually get disappointed in those earbuds because the sound quality on these are spectacular. you can hear everything that your music can offer. you will notice new instruments in the background as well. now i notice the price is like over 100 and they are worth that. but according to my father they were $45 or around there back then. maybe a sale i don't know. but another factor is, durability. This pair have outlasted I would say around 15-20 pairs of earbuds! i listen to music a lot and exercise a lot while listening to my cruddy earbuds.( they are only cruddy in comparison)and time after time i have to buy new earbuds because they break, while these keep on livin'! so I would highly recommend these for almost every use besides exercise. Long car rides plain rides or just casual listening. the cord is extra long which i like so i can plug them into my speakers at night on my computer so i don't wake anyone up when i want some loud music while i draw. well i have talked enough, but I do love these headphones!
Customer Review: Outstanding Headphones! Summary: 5 Stars
Here's my take on the 150's.
Comfort: Admittedly, right out of the box, the headphones were a little tight and caused minor discomfort to my ears. However, after about half an hour of use, they wore in and fit perfectly to my head. After that, they were extremely comfortable, and I could barely notice they were on.
Sound: These headphones sound AMAZING. The base is incredibly strong (even for songs with low base lines). You seriously get lost in the sound of these headphones. Honestly, these are comparable to bose.
Durability: They seem pretty sturdy, and I know that Sennheiser uses very good materials, so there is really no problem here. I just put them in my backpack, and I don't have any problems.
I primarily use these phones for my ipod and computer, so the cord (10 feet) is a little long for me, but it's really not much of a problem as I just tied the cord. However, I can see the length of the cord being a big benefit for people who like to move around while listening to their music.
Noise canceling: Ok, these don't cancel noise with a frequency like other more expensive headphones do, but I find that these work just as good as, if not better than those. Because the cups fit perfectly around your ears, the sound is insulated very well, so little noise escapes or comes in. You definitely can't hear people talking around you.
All in all, for the price, these are the best headphones you could buy.
Customer Review: Amazing! Worth the Money Summary: 5 Stars
I am a college student who commutes everyday by train which means a lot of noise all the time. If I ever turned up the volume with normal headphones to hear the audio, I would go deaf. So I went to search for a new set of headphones for myself on amazon and found this and ordered it.
Shipping was extremely fast and FREE! I thought that it would take at least 5 days but it came in a day and a half with standard shipping!
Even though it does not clearly say it has noise cancellation on the box, the feature is built in allowing me to listen to my iPod on the lowest volume setting in many busy train stations.
One thing to note, the noise canceling is automatically turned on as you plug the headphones in which means NO OFF BUTTON for the noise canceling which means it drains extra battery life. This is of no concern as I hear almost every little sound from the music and is definitely worth it.
To address the whole "Too small for the head" complaints, yes it is a little tight, cannot be really adjusted well, and for some people might be uncomfortably tight but really does not give any kind of headaches for me as I use it for hours at a time and do not have a small head.
In the end, it is an AMAZING PRODUCT. Great quality parts, great features, amazing price. The true value, I estimate could go up to at least $150-$190.
Customer Review: A terrific pair of headphones from a respectable company for a respectable price Summary: 5 Stars
These headphones gave me what no other product in its price range would offer: high sound quality. The audio on these 'phones is far superior to the sound quality of headphones like Skullcandy (which sell for twice the price). They produce very crisp (but not jarring) percussion and guitar sounds, and every instrument is very easily distinguishable. Seriously; compared to these snazzy headphones, Skullcandy Hesh is a bulky, heavy, mumbling piece of crap.
They are lightweight, but they give no impression of weakness. These phones are certainly durable and you'll feel comfortable taking them everywhere with you without needing a case or bag.
There are only two flaws with these headphones:
1. The bass is clear, but it could definitely be more powerful
2. If you wear these outside in a windy area, or while walking, expect to be vaguely annoyed by an amplified rushing sound as the wind tends to make friction against the side of the phones.
As a side note, the way Sennheiser incorporated adjustability into these headphones is unique. Instead of the plastic band expanding and contracting, the speakers themselves slide up and down ALONG the band. Initially I expected this design to be inferior to the classic band-adjustable one, but Sennheiser's unusual design turned out to actually be slightly MORE convenient.
Customer Review: Heck yeah Summary: 5 Stars
These headphones are amazing. Possibly the best $25 I've spent in a long time. Imagine sound-blocking without the white noise of noise cancelling technology, all music being kept IN the headphones (hold them 6" away from your head and you can MAYBE hear a little bass if the music's loud enough) and the sound, for $25 headphones, being basically perfect. That's not even getting into how comfy they are. Granted, they're normal headphones that rest on the top of your head, but they're small enough to not look weird on my freakishly tiny head and comfy enough to wear for 2-3 hours, which is how long it took me to get bored of music. I like my cushy earpads. I like being able to hear the audio imaging without having to spent $100-250. I like having headphones that are capable of handling the bass in my techno music without making me go deaf. I like the ability to pick out instruments in Rhapsody in Blue. I like the fact that they're made to be portable, so they'll comfortably fit in my backpack. I love the fact that at $25, if I break them, I can replace them without crying.
If you have a head that isn't just a tiny step above kid-sized, you'll want a pair that's bigger, I'd think. For those of us who can't find a pair of glasses or sunglasses that fit without searching for weeks, get them. Just get them.
