Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Seagate ST302504FDA1E1-RK FreeAgent Desktop 250 GB 3.5" USB 2.0 External Hard Drive

Customer Review: Seagate 250 GB external hard drive
Summary: 5 Stars

This product is simple to set up (takes less than 5 minutes) and easy to use- it works as advertised. It's almost unbelievably small, taking up very little space and looks kinda cool (the yellow stripe is lighted). It took less than 60 seconds to backup hundreds of digital photos to the drive, which is very quiet when operating. We've only been using it for about a week, so can't speak to durability yet (and this is our first external drive), but otherwise we recommend it.

Customer Review: A safe purchase. 5 Year Warranty!
Summary: 5 Stars

I had tried for so long to find a reliable hard drive. This is the only company that has so much faith in their product that they include a 5 year warranty. Seagate offers a very reliable product, and you can rest easy knowing that they will take care of it for the next 5 years. After trying and researching other hard drives, I am extremely happy that I purchased this product.

Whatever you do, don't buy Iomega!! HORRIBLE customer service and unreliable machines!

Customer Review: really simple to use....
Summary: 5 Stars

Pros:
1. I have a 4 year old Sony VAIO, so I was concerned. But my PC recognized the drive easily. No problems in getting set up. As easy as using a Flash drive.

2. Very quiet.

3. Separate power supply. Doesn't draw current from USB for operation and thats another reason it will work with older PCs and laptops.

4. Write speeds are quick enough

Cons:
1. It IS big and it IS heavy. just as the specs tell you.

Customer Review: Right drive for the right price
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this drive 3 months ago for my birthday to use with Time Machine on OS X Leopard, I currently have it plugged into my G3 iMac and have put my music, pictures, and files that I downloaded off the internet. Like most people I was looking for an external drive that would meet my needs and price range, I paid $89.00 for this drive and it so far has been working flawlessly. I absolutely love it and hope it continues to work for many years.

Customer Review: Couldn't be simpler
Summary: 5 Stars

Setup and use of this external drive couldn't be simpler. Plug it in and go to work. As you can see from the picture of it, the footprint is small and styling is appealing. What you can't tell from the picture is that the yellow stripe down the front is actually a light that pulses slowly when the drive is in use. Kinda cool.

All in all a handsome, easy, functional drive that I recommend.
