I have this hard drive connected to my Mac Mini for automatic back-up using Time Machine. Set up was easy, and didn't require any special knowledge of electronic set-up. This unit has been on for over a year, and I've had no problems with it -- not a glitch. I don't shut it down, but instead leave it on all the time.
For hard drive, set up and reliability are paramount. I've had no issues whatever with this unit, even when I disconnect it from my main computer and use it to back up my laptop. I recommend the Seagate without reservations.

I have had this item for close to 2 year without a single problem. I use it as an external harddrive. All my music, videos, pictures, docuemnts, and software are all stored on this drive. No need for me to back-up as I save everything to this drive. It keeps my PC running smoothly.
I also have to drive shared so that all three of my PC use this drive for storage I have so many files and I still have over 175 GB of space left.
I will get another one to back up this one just to be safe.
I highly Recommend.

I received the Seagate Agent 250GB last year as a gift, and after all this time, it hasn't failed me, still working fast and efficiently, and has caused me no trouble at all. I've been using this hard drive as a backup for all my important files, photos of my family, and other documents I would be upset about losing. I don't have a huge media gallery, so 250GB works well for me, although at this point, I would actually get the 500GB and up versions, as they are now fairly close in price. Either way, I highly recommend this hard drive.Customer Review: Seagate is the Best. Period!

This drive is great. It's a Seagate and comes with a 5 year warranty. Do you really need another reason to buy this drive? If you do, here we go: Fast, Reliable, Quiet, Attractive, and super easy to install. I mean really really easy to install (actually I would not even call it installing...more like plugging it in). If you can hook-up a toaster for your kitchen, then you can set this drive up. Plug it into the wall and then into the PC and you're done. It automatically shows up in your "My Computer" already NTFS formatted.Customer Review: EASY to use HardDrive from a reliable Company

This thing is cool. 250GB. It is very easy to use. I suggest Acronis Software. This thing is not like most HDD with only a 1 year warranty. They slapped on the 5 year warranty typical of the best HDD they make. You connect it to the computer and in windows a new HDD is mounted. In linux it works well also. Mounted automatically by most modern distributions.
If you need one, this one is easy to use. I like seagate drives, extremely reliable from my experience (I am a Net Admin) so I trust them a lot.
