Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Seagate FreeAgent Go Dock 100521233Customer Review: It may not work with a hub. Summary: 4 Stars
There really isn't much wrong with this dock. My only complaint is that I cannot use it with my USB hub (hub has no AC power). Even with both ends plugged into the hub, it wouldn't power it. It works okay if I plug one end directly into my laptop computer. Also, Seagate does not recommend plugging it in to a peripheral USB such as a monitor. The travel case is very nice. The split end cord is a little awkward but all in all - not a bad deal.
Customer Review: Seagate freeagent go Dock With Case Summary: 4 Stars
The FreeAgent Go dock is a worth while accessory for your FreeAgent Go portable External hard drive. The only drawback is the need to use 2 USB ports on your computer. That said, it works perfectly, and provides a convenient place to keep your portable Seagate drive. I use it with my main desktop computer. When I'm on the go, I use the portable case for protection, and just plug into my laptop.
Customer Review: Seagate Dock Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great device although it has a few flaws.
I checked out a review on the dock and it mentioned 3 extra usbs. Mine didn't come with extra usbs. And the other reviews said it came with a leather case, and mine didn't come with that either. This is an accessory that makes your desk look nice and neat. The only thing I don't like about this device is that i got no leather case.
Customer Review: Works for me Summary: 4 Stars
Works as advertised, price is right.
Those of you that didn't receive a case for your hard drive, it's probably because this item doesn't come with one. The one that does is called FreeAgent GoDock+. That's GoDock PLUS, which means additional or extra. I suggest you read and view more carefully before you purchase items online.
Customer Review: Good stand, strange cable Summary: 4 Stars
It's a dock for the Freeagent Go portable drive. It works.
The box says that it requires TWO free USB ports on the computer, and the hardwired cable does indeed have two USB plug heads on it. However, it works just fine with only one of them plugged into the computer, leaving the other one hanging loose.
