I use the D70 and the D80 at work and found it hard to take fine detail macro photos using a very low shutter to capture alternate light source illuminated subjects. This was just the ticket. I was having to use the timer to take the photos which was hard to set in the dark enviornment. The only hitch is that the receiver is on the side of the camera so you have to be on the right side to get it to work and you have to point it at the camera. We have tried several group photos with it and it always catches me with my arm up pointing at the camera, until I used the combination infared timer setting.
