SANUS SYSTEMS BF-31B Wood Speaker Stands
I got my order about four days sooner than advertised....the ad states that they are made of wood.....they are not....they are a very nice composite matching my black speakers and black big screen monitor stand wonderfully...I read numerous negative reviews and was a little apprehensive to buy them sight unseen.....who wouldn't be?....I am glad I did....keep in mind that this is a screw together product.....you have to use some common sense and simply be careful how hard you tighten the screws down and make sure you angle them properly....I ran the screws through the vertical frame(s) holes a few turns just to ensure that they would guide correctly.....then I put the screws through the base bottom and top shelf first....then ensured that all the screws were sitting right into the holes on the vertical frames(s)...then I simply tightened them one after another uniformly around until they were snug...the key word is SNUG!....I can see how, if you are careless OR get a faulty product that you could end up splitting the veneer finish....in my case the product came with all parts and all pre-drilled holes intact....I found that the stands are quite sturdy once finished as far as height/speaker weight/wobble effect are concerned.... (Note: I really liked the foot spikes.....they go right down through the carpet shag hitting solid bottom).....these are much better than the old metal tube speaker stands I was using before which cost just as much...they look more luxurious than their cost would suggest...I highly recommend them....
