I purchased these 24 inch speaker stands as part of a small home office audio system I was putting together with inexpensive vintage components found on ebay. The Paradigm titan speakers (original version) were a bit bass-heavy on the floor. The Sanus floor stands improved the sound dramatically. The stands assembled easily and precisely and look quite good. I have them on a hardwood floor without the carpet spikes that are included. They are stable and solid. Well, assembly was a sinch, and the look is phenomenal. Not much needs to be said, pretty basic item that serves its purpose, quite well at that.
The only thing I will recommend to all buyers is to MAKE SURE THE HOLES ARE LINED UP BEFORE SCREWING THE SCREWS IN, if you don't, you will screw through and CRACK the foundation of the stands.
Once assembled, you will LOVE these in ANY size you purchase.

They are pieces of wood(-like material) that hold a speaker a couple feet off the ground. I don't understand why speaker stands are so expensive. If I had a saw and some time I would have tried to make my own. But these are the cheapest ones I could find, and I was surprised that they are actually pretty good quality (and look good too). Took about 10 minutes to put both of them together, very simple with no issues.Customer Review: Excellent value

Handsome, rugged, solid. Easy to assemble- all is needed is a mallet and screwdriver. Perfect height for our Mordaunt-Short bookshelf speakers. These Sanus BF 24B's open up the mid-range and lift the treble, who knew a simple speaker stand could make such a difference?
We're happy with the purchase, especially considering the price paid (well below what one would expect to pay at retail).

good quality materials.

and most important - they've thought of the little things, such as the back cover for the cables.
the only downside is the top hole for the cables is a bit small, and there is no niche on the base for cables. (not perfect if you dont have a carpet and use the carpet pins)
