Update: a year after my initial purchase and the batteries are finally getting very low. So it took a full year of yearly use by two people (probably ~45-60 minutes per day) to use up the batteries. Very impressive! The only problem is, over the course of that year, the sticky backing has given way probably 5 or 6 times and its come crashing down. The last time - yesterday - it finally messed up the display (I was in the shower at the time and witnessed the fall - it was a very hard hit). But I've been happy enough with it that I'm going to buy another. I just think it may be worth finding a better way to hang it going forward.
I bought this shower clock area after reading the reviews on here and overall I am not disappointed. It is a very study clock that gets plenty loud enough to hear in the shower and, for a month now, has performed without issue. In fact, after a month of daily use by each of the two people in my apartment, it hasn't even begun to show any lower battery life yet.
The signal is quite good but not great. It does have some problems picking up stations that work pretty well in the car, but the inside environment of a bathroom probably doesn't add to that. And the strong stations in the area still come in fine.
Also, once, the sticky backing fell off the shower wall and the clock came crashing down. It still works fine though, and, after putting it back up, it hasn't fallen down in the last couple weeks.
So far, so good. If its as solid as it seems to be, I expect this to be a product we can use for years to come. I can only hope anyway.

I purchased this radio as a 2009 Christmas gift for my wife for the bathroom (she had been wanting a radio in there for quite some time). The description and size were what we were looking for, and the majority of the reviews were favorable.
After owning this radio for over a year, I can now say without hesitation this product performs as intended. The nearest radio station (that we listen to) is 25 miles away, and the Sangeon H201 has no problems pulling in strong signals from many stations even further away. The clock has ran constantly, the radio averages 45 minutes of play time daily, and the two D-cell batteries (which have YET to be changed) still show two out of of three strength bars on the LCD screen! Amazing!
Installation is simple, and can be semi-permanent (via the included small wall bracket - my preference), by hanging it on its retractable handle, or it can simply sit on a shelf, counter or table top - your choice. The antenna is a wire about two feet long and can be situated for best reception.

What a great product !!
My wife and I have been thinking of getting a shower radio for sometime but on the street (shopping) I never came across that I was really satisfied with. I always value the experience of fellow Amazon reviewers and picked this product up without any hesitation after having gone through the comments. Thank you.
First and most important is the reception. We are in a difficult spot where for example I was only able to solve the radio reception problem of my hi-fi radio set by installing a Terk FM-50 Indoor/Outdoor Dual-Drive Amplified FM Antenna (Terk FM50), which is another great product by the way. Tried few places in our shower, picked a location that was good for use and also for reception. Without taking out the wire antenna was able to receive only few stations but after having taken out the wire antenna, dramatic improvement and now receiving all in good quality.
Sound is very good and so is the ease of use. We are so delighted with this radio and using it always as we step in the shower. As one reviewer rightly commented so, better get this product while it is available. I am so happy about this product that I am thinking whether I should install few more in other showers in the house :)
Get one, you will enjoy it.

Over the years I've become addicted to shower radios--I must have something to drown out my poor attempt at singing. However, I have found that I end up having to replace the shower radio much more often than I'd like to. Not anymore! After spending a small fortune on cheap shower radios over the years, I decided I wasn't going to make a purchase until I found what I truly wanted. This radio is it! It runs on D batteries (or AC--not recommended in the shower) that last forever. The reception is incredible--and the best part is that it's DIGITAL. No more hunting for what you think the station is. But wait, there's more. The presets have ended the feud in my household between my daughter and me. She would always change the station to her favorite--and I would end up having to hunt for mine with the poor analog tuners of the cheapie shower radios. Now we have more than enough presets pretuned that are available at the touch of a button. I only have two complaints with this radio. First, it cam be mounted in the shower and easily removed to be used as a portable. And 2nd, the quality is incredible. Well, those don't sound like complaints, until you have a teenager who keeps taking it off the wall and taking it to the beach! I guess I'm just going to have to get another one for her...Customer Review: Quality product and a real life improvement...

The Sangean H201 AM/FM Digital Shower Radio, is very nicely design product. The radio functions extremely well, with good sound and great reception. The added built in features, turn this simple product into a "no-brainer." The cost, was the one hurdle for me, but having seen so many poor reviews for cheaper products, I decided to give the Sangean a shot.
The Pros:
-Good sound (not booming stereo quality, but plenty good for a shower)
-Great reception
-Fantastic Battery life (have yet to see the built in battery status drop a single bit)
-Plenty of hanging/mounting options (should suit just about any application)
-Built in flashlight (not a huge deal, but a nice added touch)
-Solid construction (I submerged it, it floats, it didn't skip a beat)
The cons:
The only con I have found thus far, is that it only allows for 5 pre-sets per band. So I can only have 5 FM pre-sets, which is fine but I would be happier with 10.
All in all, this is just a fantastic product, a bit pricey but I have no doubt that it is built to last.
If you are looking for a shower radio or just a water-proof radio for boating or poolside, you cannot go wrong with the Sangean H201 AM/FM Digital Shower Radio.
