I have this little radio since October 2006. Great features like: the lock button which, when I am walking, or jogging the function buttons will not be pressed/activated by my movements. Another of my favorites: unlike any other portable radios I had, this one works in my office at the lower level of the building and there is no noise interference from computers, telephones, copy machines, or any other electronic equipment which is a major plus and beats everything else out there. I use it with Jlabs in-ear buds which come with three different sizes of buds, and fit perfectly and do have noise protection too. I made a smart purchase! This little radio has the very best reception of any I have ever tried. It will pull in distant FM stations that other radios can not touch! It fits in my pocket or on the belt with the clip. I love the feature that allows you to switch from FM Stereo to FM. This little feature allows me to listen to stations located even farther away!!!
Search all you want, but you will NOT find a better radio for both sound and reception. The only thing you will probably need to do is purchase a good set of earplugs or earphones, as the one with the unit is just not good enough for the quality of the radio.

I read all of the reviews and could not believe that this little radio could be as good as the reviews. My needs required an AM radio that could pick up small stations to hear programs I wanted to listen to. The two reasons I chose this Sangean radio over others were comments about: best am radio I ever had; picks up 10 stations where I previously only picked up one; and it stands up whereas the newer version had a curved bottom and would not stand on a flat surface.
THIS IS THE BEST AM RADIO YOU WILL EVER HEAR, HAVE, OR BUY. Don't hesitate, just get it. The FM receiver is pretty darn good too. +++++ all around.

With my old portable radio, I heard a background hissing noise through my Grado SR80 headphones, so I thought I would try something else. The Sangean DT-210V has no such problem. Once it locks onto a station, the sound comes out clearly. For a radio, I suppose one cannot ask for much more. Even the speaker is of excellent quality. It does not have the cheap sound of some little speakers and it's just as loud as it needs to be.
The drawbacks to this product are that it takes AAA batteries and comes with cheap headphones, but those are minor problems--I was looking for a good radio and got a good radio.

I purchased this radio about a month ago and it has exceeded all expectations. I walk about 3 miles a day as part of my daily routine and I find the radio picks up and holds the stations better than anything I have owned previously. Although the unit is small, it is heavy and substantial, and just looks and feels like a quality product. My only issue with it so far is that although you can preset more stations than I would ever want, it is necessary to reprogram all the stations everytime you change batteries. It's an easy process but I would like it better if it had the ability to store that information.
