Customer Review: Replacement for Automobile radio

The rather expensive radio in my rather old car recently died so I needed a replacement radio. Seeking a simple appproach (no installation hassle) I decided to try a Sangean DT-210V. I attached it to my sunvisor with mini-bungee cords and run it in speaker mode only -- the antenna wire is taped to the top of the windshield.
Performance is fairly good -- I typically listen to several weak FM stations in my area and they generally come in loud and clear. Occasionally at night I'll hear some very weak interference that sounds like aircraft radio signals but this happens fairly rarely.
All in all I'm satisfied with the radio and would recommend it to others. Next, I'm going to try it on my motorcycle

I had another Sangean radio that I purchased years ago. It was excellent and held up well. Unfortunately, I lost it. Everything works well on this radio. It's easy to use. What works best for me is the reception that I get in a large concrete/steel building. I have another pocket size radio and it does not get the stations that I do with the DT-210V. In fact the reception on the DT is better than I get on a much larger radio with an antenna. Plus, two fresh AAA batteries provide a lot of listening time, reportedly 250 hours. Also, I've noticed with use that there is no signal drift that I can detect. The speaker quality is excellent! Anyway, I'm happy with my purchase. Purchased the Sangean DT-210 AM/FM Digital Radio based on the excellent reviews and it preforms very well. I also tuned into local stations that I had not previously know to exist. My use of this radio is different from reviews I read and has developed an issue that makes it unusable for my intended use although will still use it around the house. Plugged Kuryakyn speakers into the radio on my motorcycle and while it is not moving the radio plays very well. As the motorcycle begins to move there is an audible static with the rotation of the wheels. As speed increases the static over comes the music which can't be heard. If anyone knows of a fix for this issue please post in your review.Customer Review: Excellent radio! Worth the $

I am a horse trainer. I listen to talk radio all day while I ride, and I go through a few radios every year. The clips break..the reception is bad, they fall apart etc.
I invested in this Sangean, and it's perfect! I carry it in a cell phone holder to protect it. The settings lock, which is good because riding horses tend to knock the radio around. I also love the speaker. Remember the OLD DAYS when you could actually have a small radio playing, sitting near by while you did something else? Well, here it is.
I have zero complaints, and I am HARD on radios. I wear one for at least 6 hours a day, most of that time is riding horses. I highly recommend this radio.

I wanted a small pocket radio that I can use when I workout, walk, garden, etc. I like to listen to sports talk and/or music when I am doing these activities. I enjoy listening to a variety of AM/FM stations rather than just music(same old songs). This radio does the trick! The controls are easy to use and the preset stations work great. The ear buds are good and I can set the sound to stereo, mono and DBB. I don't use the optional belt clip that comes with the radio because I would rather just slip it in my pocket. I am pleased with the quality and features and the cost. This radio will come in handy during hurricanes here in Florida when the power goes out.
