Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sangean America DT-210 DT-210 AM/FM Digital Tuning Pocket RadioCustomer Review: great radio Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great radio. I use this radio all day long listening to the FM stations in the 88.whatever to the low 90(s) (smaller power, non-ClearChannel noise:) I occasionally tune into some AM stations, but not much. I work in Carmel Valley and p/u the power house KGO am station out of San Francisco quite well to crystal clear. I use only headphones. As an electrician, I place the radio in my tool bags, throw the little lock switch (keeps the settings locked - volume still free) and listen all day long. I don't use the stock headphones - not sure how they're supposed to work. The sound quality is good for a little (2)AAA radio - does not sound like mice, sounds better than ipod. You would think that large companies wouldn't give a damn about little am/fm radios anymore - not the case. This is a well thought out little unit. I'll probably buy one or two more for back up. me=Gus in Salinas, C.A
Customer Review: Good small pocket sized AM/FM Radio with speaker Summary: 5 Stars
Good small pocket sized AM/FM Radio with speaker.
I used to have a not so small bulky analog dialed radio to listen to news radio and carry around the house.
The Sangean DT-210 is small, no bigger than an IPhone, and has a suprisingly good solid mono speaker, great if all you want is to listen to news or talk radio. I can easily carry it from room to room around the house, and the controls are precise for fine tuning the volume so I don't make it too loud in the morning (as I wake up at 5am). It can get loud for a small speaker too, without any distortion. The digital tuner is perfect too. Note that if you want to listen to FM then you need to plug in a wired antenae or the earphones, because there is no room in the unit for an antenae. Also in order to change preset stations you have to first press the recall button then the tuning button up or down.
Customer Review: Great little package Summary: 5 Stars
In 1958, my father bought me a Sony 6 transistor am pocket radio - the benchmark of all that followed. It was a beauty, and I wish I still had it today. I've purchased many radios since. Not since the sony am pocket radio I received almost 50 years ago, have I been so delighted with a radio product. It provides great reception in both am and fm modes, excellent quality through the ear buds, a bass boost feature that really works in the earbud mode, an excellent built in speaker, fantastic user friendly digital functions, including scan, presets, etc.,- and all this in a sleek and slender package that is 1/2 again as small as the original sony. If I have one complaint, it's that the analog volume control wheel is a little hard to manipulate. Otherwise, it is a fantastic little gizmo, and at $50., I don't think there's a comparable pocket radio on the market.
Customer Review: Great radio for walkers and people who work outside! Summary: 5 Stars
I have had this radio for several months now and I love it. There are so many great features on this radio. The sound this thing puts out for the size is just amazing. The digital tuning is great and the hold button really helps since the tuning buttons are the front and can easily hit by accident(especially when in shirt pocket). I have listened with head phones(supplied) occasionally and stereo sounds great but 99.9% of the time I use the speaker and keep in shirt pocket. This unit is so light you really will forget it is there. It is also surprisingly durable(dropped numerous times on pavement and tile and still works great). If you love to listen to the radio everywhere this is the radio for you. One piece of advice-get 4 AAA rechargable batteries and keep one set on charge and one set in the radio and you'll always be able to listen and you will save money.
Customer Review: The Sangean DT-210V radio Summary: 5 Stars
I've had my Sangean pocket sized radio a couple months and so far I like
it a lot better then the Sony Walkman radios I've been buying for
several years. I'm hard hearing so I like it that it has more volume when
I'm outside working. My Sonys would start working on only one side of
the ear phones. Then after awhile no matter how new the ear phones were
it still only worked on one side. I used a set of the old ear phones that
only worked on one ear with the Sony on my new Sangean and both sides worked. The Sony volume control button freqently comes off and gets lost.
Very irrating. They've been that way for several years. No such problem with the Sangean.I also like the removal belt holder on the Sangean better
then the one on the Sony.Yesterday I ordered another Sangean, for my wife.
