Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sandisk Extreme USB 2.0 3in1 Card Reader (SDDRX3-3IN1-901, US Retail Package)Customer Review: Top of the Heap Summary: 5 Stars
The Sandisk Extreme USB 2.0 reader is the best reader that I have used over the past 5 years when I have taken many thousands of images...using new professional quality digital cameras results in large files which this reader handles quickly and seamlessly. Seems to be very well made and should last for years. I am buying a second one as soon as possible.
Customer Review: Compact size, quick photo file transfers Summary: 5 Stars
Well manufactured as you would expect from a SanDisk product. Tucks in easily for compact storage. I only use Compact Flash but appreciate the convenience of other media modes if I ever need them. This was plug and play for my Windows XP System.
The specs don't say, but I was able to use with CF Extreme III as well as II with no problems.
Customer Review: WOW!!! Excellent product, excellent seller Summary: 5 Stars
I used to download my pictures using a PCMCIA card reader, and even the fast CF cards would take forever to download (approx. 0.9 Mbps). When I got the Sandisk Extreme USB 2.0 reader, I was able to get downloads 16 times faster, up to 14.8 Mbps, so a 2Mb 133x card went from over 40 minutes to 2 1/2 minutes to download, so I'm really impressed.
Customer Review: Sandisk Extreme USB 2.0 Reader Summary: 5 Stars
Very good product. Installed very easy and works great. Another plus to having a reader is that it takes the wear of downloading what is on the chip off of the camera. I was told that downloading from the camera does put considerable wear on the camera. I do not know if this is true but why not take any additional load off the camera.
Customer Review: Best Card Reader I Have Ever Had Summary: 5 Stars
I have purchased three of these (work, home and as a gift for my mom) and they are great. I have an old 4x CF card and it downloaded 214MB of images in about 60 seconds. It also downloaded 200+ MB of images from a SanDisck Extreme III CF card in about 15 seconds.
I think that it is well worth the $20 I paid for it.
