Customer Review: Oldie but Goodie

I got this as a backup in case my years-old same model currently used mp3 player ever fails. I like the model not only because of its proven durability, but because it uses AAA batteries instead of an internal rechargeable battery that tethers you to an outlet. At home I do use rechargeable AAA batteries, but when traveling, can pop in easily obtainable new batteries that last for many many hours.
Before going on-line to find the identical Sandisk model, I got an over-the-counter cheap different brand player (that used AAA batteries) which freezes up when trying to play certain types of files. The ease of using the Sandisk controls are also very superior and it is a better-designed player in almost all respects. I decided if I was so totally satisfied, based on years of usage, it made sense to seek out the same model- I was delighted to find it available on-line and would have paid substantially more to get it.
The Sandisk 1GB Sansa m240 MP3 Player is an oldie but a goodie. I liked the Amazon price, experience and result so much I went back and ordered another for Christmas for my daughter (I also got the same model for her when I purchased my original.) The only difference between my old gray player, is the new one is hot pink- it was cheaper than gray models- color makes little difference to me-- and it may be a positive for the daughter.
