Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk Ultra Cruzer Titanium 16 GB Ultra Cruzer Titanium Drive SDCZ7-016G-A11 (Silver)Customer Review: Worked well till it lasted Summary: 2 Stars
This drive is a very good drive till it lasted for me.
It has good storage capacity and the look isn't bad. For the unfortunate event that happened was that the drive died. I have no idea what happened to it. The capacity comes up as unknown and can't be formatted. I am sending mine back to sandisk for a replacement drive.
I have never had this kind of thing happen to me before with any of the sandisk drives that I have. Hopefully they'll replace it with a new drive instead of a refurbished drive. I'll update my post as soon as I get the service that every customer deserves from them. The drive was only 3 months old.
Customer Review: Firefox (not responding) Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this some time ago. I wanted a flash drive that was on par with my previous flash drive, a Kingston U3 DataTraveler 2GB. In the days of U3 apps I wanted another U3 drive. That's why I picked the Cruzer Titanium. As U3 collapsed and I found out about PortableApps.com I left U3 for PA permanently and I've never looked back. The functionality, however, of the SanDisk drive has been nothing but miserable as compared to my Kingston drive. Slow is not what I bargained for. As the title of my review reflects you'll get the (not responding) message in the titlebar of FF way too often. And don't even think about adding too many extensions, they only worsen the output. I challenge the company's read/write posted specs. I had it a year, complained to SanDisk and was offered a free replacement with the return of mine. I took them up on the offer and hoped for a better outcome. It never came. I set the policy for better performance immediately hoping that it might help. It didn't. The drive simply does not have the read write capability that one expects. I see that I am in the minority with most giving positive reviews. For me the drive's a big disappointment. For looks and durability, I have no complaints. Looking to the day of USB 3.0 flash drives. That's when I'll buy again.
Customer Review: Bigger is not better Summary: 1 Stars
I got this 16GB drive to replace my 4GB Cruzer titanium, which was fantastic. Since it was a Cruzer Titanium, I thought that it would be just as good as the 4GB but it is not. The 16GB Cruzer is VERY slow. When I work on saved Publisher files, it keeps hanging up and takes a long time to save. I also use the U3 technology and mainly run Firefox. On the 4GB it zooms while on the 16GB, it crawls. It keeps hanging up and takes very long to switch between tabs and load the pages. When I scroll down, it slows down. I am very disappointed in this product. The outside shell is smoother than the previous models, but it does not mater. Even the orange LED does not matter. The main problem is that this drive is so slow. SanDisk can make a great product, as the 4GB, I don't know what went wrong here. It was so bad that I went back to my 4GB and breathed a sigh of relief. I also purchased the 8GB titanium, on which the reviews were great. Don't waste your money on this drive!

Not even close to the advertised speed - It takes forever to read and write files to this thing. Blue light or amber light doesn't matter if you have to watch it for so long - they're both bad. I have a 8GB and I'm going back to it.
Writting a large number of files, it seems to just stop to catch it's breath, even with write caching enabled.
Very disappointed with SanDisk for this. Up until now, I've been very happy with the 4 other Titaniums I have
If I can't return this, then I'll give it to my son.
Customer Review: Slowest flash drive on the planet. Summary: 1 Stars
Slowest flash drive on the planet.
Absolutely the slowest flash drive I have ever used, with no exception, and I have had many such drives.
This is the slowest of all of them. Does not smoke or catch on fire spontaneously, though, so it does have one positive attribute.
Buy a different drive. Check the read and write speed before paying for it.
