Customer Review: Cruzer Titanium - The "Toughbook" of flash drives
Summary: 4 Stars

Ordered it online and was surprised (pleasantly) at how small it is. I don't even notice it after adding it to my keychain. It's about the same size as my car key. I personally like the U3 platform, but you can easily delete U3 and make it a pure storage drive. Feels sturdier than any others I've seen. You can't go wrong with 16GB for under $50.

Customer Review: Perfect Except for Amber Flashing Light
Summary: 4 Stars

This is my third Cruzer Titanium drive, and the first where SanDisk changed from the blue light to amber. I could handle the color change if it didn't constantly get brighter and dimmer. Other than that, it's a solid, fast drive, as with the others. However, the finish is not quite up to par with the 2GB and 4GB versions.

Customer Review: They changed the blue LED to amber...yuk!
Summary: 3 Stars

The familiar Blue LED is now Amber just like the cheaper plastic Cruzer's have.
The finish is distinctly more silvery instead of the matte titanium design. It appears that the casing is no longer made of Liquidmetal® as were the 8/4/2gb models.
Ti Cruzer continues to ship with U3 Smart Technology enabled. However the majority of users choose to remove this using the U3 removal tool provided by Sandisk.
The 16gb no longer includes a pocket clip or lanyard but neither did the 8gb models.
The performance is unchanged compared to the 8GB model at 15MB/s read speed & 9MB/s write speed.
It appears that Sandisk decided to cut corners with the latest Titanium.
I would have rated this flash drive a 5 Star had Sandisk left well enough alone...

Customer Review: Served Me Well
Summary: 3 Stars

I loved this flash drive and I'd had one for a long long time. I was just around the 3 year mark when I lost it and it was mainly due to the products design. I kept it on my key chain and it stayed there for awhile. Eventually the small metal loop it came with bent and I nearly lost it. I replaced this with another one but eventually that one bent and I lost it for good. If only the key chain loop was built INTO the body this would be the perfect product. However, the durability is only as strong as it's weakest link, in this case the actual one connecting it to your keys.

Customer Review: Another vote for slow
Summary: 2 Stars

This is my first Sandisk flash drive. I never had one with a blue light so I don't miss it. I removed the U3 software from it as I have no need for it. It looks nice and appears well made.

I did a test first thing. It is very slow. It is the slowest of all my flash drives by a large margin. My Super Talent 16gb beat it handily. Very disappointing. I tried reformatting the drive as NTFS but that actually made it slower so I formatted it back to FAT32.

Maybe this drive will be more reliable than other brands, only time will tell. But for now, I will need extra time if I want to use this for anything bigger than a few megabytes.
