Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk Ultra Compact Flash 2GB Card (SDCFH-002G-A11) (Retail Package)

Customer Review: A great acessory
Summary: 5 Stars

I jst got one in the mail, and it is awesome. It has enough space for 200RAW pictures, or 120 RAW+JPEGs. It has reasonably fast Read/Write times, and is faster than many competing cards. 2GB is a good size to have because larger drives, when corrupted make you lose a lot of shots. also, it is a great buy for the price, considering that you are getting professional quality cards. If you buy a no-name card, then you might be getting a rebadged high quality card, or a PRAM card, good for maybe 50-75 Write cycles (fully filled then fully emptied) PRAM is used for BIOS information for computers and is written to maybe 2 times in a computer's lifetime. Many companies are buying it because it is cheap and passing it off as regular memory. With a card like this it is assured to be a good solid card. Friends of mine have been using them for years.

Customer Review: Huge storage and good r/w speed
Summary: 5 Stars

I have an EOS Digital Rebel and was looking for a memory upgrade, at first I thought to buy a 1Gb Sandisk memory, but due to the price fall of memory cards I decided to buy the 2Gb card instead. When I inserted the card into the camera, it recognized the card right away reporting a whopping 575 photos in Large/Fine format or 262 in RAW format, that's more than I need even for a one week vacation trip, but if I upgrade my camera on christmas it may come just right for JPEG+RAW storage.

I may not be very technical about this but the read and write speed was noticeable faster than my previous two year old 128Mb memory card, about twice as fast either for browsing or saving pictures.

I have always trusted in SanDisk products and this card is no exception, quality and performance is as good as I expected.

Customer Review: SanDisk 2Gb Ultra II CF Card
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a professional photographer. I own several of the SanDisk Compact Flash cards, using them with an Olympus E-20 camera (used for a studio portrait camera) and an Olympus DSLR which I use on location. The SanDisk Ultra II CF card is actually faster than the buffer write on the E-20 and a good match for the DSLR. This latest purchase was due to a price decrease on the card and the sensible practice of purchasing extra memory cards when sales are on. I prefer the 2Gb cards because there is less data to lose if a card should fail. (None has to date.) The Ultra II is a fast and reliable CF card. Unless you need the extra speed of the SanDisk Extreme III or IV (and don't mind the higher price that goes with it), I highly recommend the SanDisk Ultra II.

Pros: Excellent product. Good value.

Cons: None

Customer Review: Best CF card for the Money
Summary: 5 Stars

Like many other professional photographers, I wanted a good, reliable CF card that would do the job. After getting suckered and getting fake CF cards from Ebay, I decided to buy a genuine Sandisk CF card. Like the reviewer below, I also own a 20D, and this card is just perfect. For a wedding photographer, 2GB cards are the perfect size CF cards. I shoot primarily RAW, and I can easily fit 200+ images on one card. When in Large Jpeg, I have gotten more than 500 images to fit in one. The card is quite fast surprisingly for the type of photography I do. If you are a sports shooter, then you may want to invest a bit more so they can get the Extreme series.

I now have 5 of these cards total, and plan to buy at least 5 more. I highly recommend this product.

Customer Review: Reliable and Fast
Summary: 5 Stars

I've always been a Lexar Professional fan, but after reading a few reviews decided to try SanDisk Ultra II, (priced lower than the Lex-Pro at the time). I'm completed satisfied with the performance and would rate both products equally in quality and value. I currently own a Canon 20D and can wholeheartedly recommend this card for that specific model as well as the Digital Rebel and PS-G6 which I've used sporadically in the past. Although shooting burst RAW images will tax any memory card, I find the Ultra II very fast during normal RAW and burst JPEG shooting and have yet to be held up while waiting on image writes. After about 3 months of solid use, I've never encountered a lost or corrupted photo. This card will be staying in my camera till further notice.
