Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk Sansa m250 2 GB MP3 Player (Black)

Customer Review: Great for running!
Summary: 5 Stars

Originally I picked this up for my husband. His car stereo was stolen and we lived a few hours apart. I picked it for its long battery life and the easy-access buttons. I later got one for myself when my old CD-style MP3 player failed on me in Iraq. I found it very comfortable to carry in my hand while running. The shape fits nicely and the buttons are in quick and easy reach. It's quite durable and has lasted a good two years and counting.

I've also used it on our motorcycle trips. Even tucked in my pocket the buttons were easy to access and use if I wanted to skip or replay songs. It has even survived a motorcycle wreck. The clip that holds in the battery cover is the only thing that broke (It's now got packing tape on it :D )

My only grumble about this is it's hard to find that one song you want to hear out of the hundred or so you've got stashed on it. :) but that'd require a larger screen and I like the size the MP3 player is now.

Customer Review: Great little MP3 player
Summary: 5 Stars

My wife wanted a small, lightweight MP3 player to use while walking each day. She is very pleased with it. It is very small and simple to use after very little time. I can only speak to the MP3 player portion. We have not really used the radio or the voice recorder.

I was very pleasantly surprised to see how easy it was to copy MP3s to the unit. I have never even used the enclosed software. I use MusicMatch Jukebox on my desktop PC. It recognized the unit as soon as I hooked it up and made it very simple to copy my playlist to the unit.

It uses one AAA battery which seems to last a long time.

If you want a unit that can hold a LOT of MP3s, offers shuffle play, is easy to copy files to, and also has a radio and a voice recorder while managing to stay very light and easy to carry, then I would recommend this unit highly. We have had it for 2-3 months, used about one hour per day, and have had no problems with it so far.

Customer Review: Love this player!
Summary: 5 Stars

I love the shape of this mp3 player. It fits well in my hand so I can change music while I am driving and I'm not distracted. I use this while I do house work, garden, drive in the car, and while at work. I never have any problems with it. I use rechargeable Duracell batteries and always have back up ones charged. I've accidently left this player on in my car while I was at work and when I was driving home, there was plenty of battery life left, I thought it would have died. This is well worth the very low price, I only listen to music and this serves the purpose. Sound quality is great, I use sound blocking headphones that block out noise, so get great music quality. I've dropped it many times and it doesn't have a scratch on it. It would be great for kids too, the screen is easy to see and lights up well. The menu is very easy to navigate. I highly recommend this mp3 player. I like it much better than the Sansa Clip and it's cheaper.

Customer Review: Watch the USB setting on the sansa player
Summary: 5 Stars

My new m250 player when plugged into the USB port would not show up as a removable storage device under My Computer. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I owned 2 model m230's that worked just fine, but this model m250 would not be recognized at all. I sent it back and got a quick replacement with no trouble (Thanks Amazon!), but the replacement had the same problem as the 1st! So I called Sansa tech support and was told to go to the player's main menu, scroll down to USB and select it. Then in the USB menu select MSC (it had been on Auto Detect). And like magic it showed up on My Computer and now works just fine. Both of my m230 players worked fine on the Auto Detect setting, but not the m250. I didn't even know that there were USB settings in the menu.

I though I should let everyone know this and possibly save someone the heartburn I went through. It's a great little player, especially considering the price.

Customer Review: Simply the best!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have had this mp3 player for almost a year now, I use it daily and I have not had one single problem with it. I'm almost convinced that some of these negative comments are people with computer problems (they just don't know it yet)or possibly the song is defective.
Putting music on it is a dream, I drag and drop using Windows Explorer.
The computer sees it as a plug and play device.

This player is extremely easy to use, its light-weight very small and quite attractive. The buttons are in logical places and easy to get used to. The sound quality is beautiful and 2 GBs are pleanty for what I need. It is perfect for anything, the gym, beach, driving, hiking, you name it. (well except swimming, I wouldn't recommend that lol.)

All in all, I am more than satisfied with this player, I have never looked back, I look forward to buying the 4 GB some day, when I have half a million songs.
