Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk Sansa m250 2 GB MP3 Player (Black)Customer Review: Simple, smart, easy to use= very pleased Summary: 5 Stars
I am one who values price versus benefit. I would rather something work well than have a ton of features. This, however, is one item that seems to have been thought through well on both fronts--price and features.
I considred an Ipod, until I talked with 5 friends/family members who said they hated theirs, so I looked elsewhere... and found this great buy.
Pros:
-Easy and simple controls, easily used (buttons are finger sized)
-small and light
-uses a single AAA battery. I bought 2 rechargable and interchange them.
-battery lasts a LONG time!
-I LOVE that you have to hold the power button both to turn on and off.
-I also LOVE that it comes with a "hold" button, to keep it turned on or off, as the case may be.
-I use a few different music programs on a few different computers, all of which work great with the device--absolutely no problems.
-Transfer of songs is FAST. Wow. I thought it would be about the same as my PDA, but boy was I wrong (and I never thought my pda was slow).
Cons:
-The athletic strap could be improved, but is a minor annoyance.
-I would have liked the volume to be easier to adjust (for adjusting blind, as when I'm running), but again, this is minor.
A great buy!
Customer Review: The Best Mp3 Player Out There. Summary: 5 Stars
Let me tell everyone; I bought the first Sansa about 2 years ago, Then I bought one for for 2 of my closest friends. Then I bought one more for myself, and then about a year later I found I couldn't buy anymore of the m250s. I was so upset, I looked all over the net and found some for sale on Ebay, and bought one of those. Then guess what; I wanted another and was interested in buying one of the rechargable ones at Radio Shack. I ended up with a Centon Movox the salesman talked me into, and it was pure garbage. Now I find to my absolute delight that Amazon has the Sansa m250 again! Hooray! I am tonight buying 2 more, just in case I break one. And at bargain prices! I hope to hell Sansa will keep making this model, it is a winner! I absolutely love these, they are reliable, and the company tech support will help thoroughly if you need it. I love the AAA battery powered feature since I kept finding when I'm working it's a lot easier to pop another battery in it, than to have to plug one into a charger. I now have one for each of my vehicles, my house, and both of my backhoes. I bought a pair of noise canceling headphones to plug into the Sansa, or plug my vehicle's hifi into it, and I am set up in music lover's heaven. THANK YOU SANDISK! By the way, screw Ipod.
Customer Review: awesome buy, i definately recomend it Summary: 5 Stars
I wanted an affordable MP3 player that could hold a lot of songs, but I didn't want any sort of bargain basement stuff that would break within a few days. This holds an impressive amount of songs (way more than it predicted I could, even in MP3 format) for a great price from a reliable company. You don't even have to be technology savy and the manual clearly illustrates how to do everything with the player. The one I was sent happened to be defective, but that can happen to anyone with any product. The people at SanDisk patiently helped me by phone for 15 minutes before telling me that they would cover the cost of me shipping it back to them and that they would send me a new one for free - they didn't even care that I had since thrown away all the packaging and instruction manuals.
The product is great and really delivers. Its easy to use, well worth the cost, and really helps kill time during workouts.
And as for my oringal defective player, I get the feeling from other friends who use SanDisk products that the incident was a fluke, definately not the usual. So don't let that deter you. Besides, if you ever do have a problem, the SanDisk people will pleasantly and patiently help you out.
Customer Review: It's A No-Brainer. For $29.99, BUY IT! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought my first Sandisk m200 series mp3 player three summers ago for $179. It was the m260 4 gig player, which I packed with just about every classic rock and pop song from 1940 to now, and attached to my bicycle handlebars. Today, I'm still using the same player and it works like a charm.
Since then, I purchased two additional m200 series Sandisk players - a 1gb and a 2gb. I use them as a music source for our town street fair and my neighborhood's block party, among many other things. I guess I'm hooked on this neat little player.
Two major advantages, for me, over the iPod are:
1. They run on basic AAA batteries for hours and hours (I just ran one at a 12-hour party last week and still had about a quarter of a charge at the end)
2. Copying files into these units is as simple as dragging and dropping onto a USB stick or external hard drive.
Yeah, iPods are slick and sexy, but I wouldn't trade any of my m200 series players for ANY of the available iPod models. And cheez....what's this with the $29.99 price? Even if this unit is used or refurbished, I would scoop it up right away!
Customer Review: A Perfectly Practical Player Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using this player for more than a week now. This player is one of the few you will find that actually uses a replaceable battery, and the only one I'd trust the quality of. I noticed quite a few people complaining about the player's case, the shape, the battery life and the fact that you can't categorize the songs, but I think they're simply upset because they didn't get the super-expensive, needlessly feature-heavy iPod they wanted. There's nothing wrong with the player, the case, the shape/size, the battery life (been using the same one for a while now) nor the filing system. One person even complained about not being able to find the pause button, which is just silly.
The player is nothing fancy. It is straightforward and practical with generous storage space (really, who needs more than 2 gigs of music?). It fits my more than 150 songs, 192kbps to 320kbps each, with room to spare. Music is ridiculously easy to load onto it.
I don't much care for the earbuds, though. I get far better sound from my Sennheiser DJ headphones.
I would recommend this player to anyone who is looking to buy a new one.
