Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk Sansa e250 2 GB MP3 Player with microSD Expansion Slot (Black)

Customer Review: Ipod Killer!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Well first off I am very impresses!! this little player has it all. I was just like almost every one else on the planet that got caught up in the ipod frenzy untill I actually saved my pennys and bought the ipod nano. I liked it ok but honestly was more happy with the Iriver I had before. I am always on the go so anything with a hard disk was not what I was looking for. the nano came out with alot more storage that I was wanting. I had it for a total of 2 weeks when my buddy got a new sandisk e250. it was the same storage that my nano had but it had more features, was easier to navigate and in my personal oppnion better looking. he let me play with it and in just the short time I was hooked. I sold my nano and got one.
loading files was easy, (wich is a plus for me) and it has a radio, (a big plus for me)and the center dial wheel makes it very easy to crank it up in a instant. it is a little thicker than the nano but, it also has a battery you can change on your own. not like the ipod that has to be taken in to have changed. the screan is very clean, wich makes it easy to share your pictures. I honestly cant say anything about the video option on it becouse I have not used it. the price is lower than the nano. The only thing I have to say bad about this little player is there are few accessories for it (yet). I will be looking forward to them when they come out. all in all I give is a 10 out of 10.

Customer Review: Great Player -- Few Complaints
Summary: 5 Stars

I looked for a mp3 player for about two weeks before choosing this one.
Here is a quick rundown of my personal pro's and cons.

Pros:
*Much like the IPod, music is listed on player by Artist, Album, Song, Genre, or personalized playlist.
*FM tuner with enough presets to preset every station I can receive -- autoscans and sets presets for you (optional) or you can set them yourself
*Surprisingly good video playback
*Easy to use software converts video and loads it to mp3 player
*Equalizer can be customized (or picked from preloaded settings)
*Voice and radio recorder
*Music is added dragging and dropping.

Cons:
*Proprietary cable -- a simple USB to USB mini would be much better
*When charging from USB, player cannot be used (although when you're at your computer, I guess you can just listen to music on your computer)

I personally found the controls and buttons easy to use. For those who said that the buttons do not always work this is because when the screen goes dark, pressing the button once turns the screen back on and then you have to press it again to activate control you need (much like a cell phone)

All in all this is a great alternative to an IPod. IPod = 50 dollars more, no recorder, smaller screen, no tuner, must use itunes to upload music.

Customer Review: Trust me that this is a great Mp3 player.
Summary: 5 Stars

The player is made of great quality with a bright screen you can see easily, even in the sun. This has great capacity to hold many songs.

People have said they hear static, but the FM radio has always been perfectly clear to me. Even the headphones, which I have had for a long time still work fine.

I prefer that you can just charge this through the USB slot because its quick to plug in to the laptop. The battery life is amazing. I have used this without charging it for a week straight, and it never went below half the battery. The style of this MP3 looks great and it comes in a slick black color.

Trust me on quality because I use this when I weight lift at the gym. I have dropped it and yanked the headphones from my ears many times, and its still in great condition.

I see many people saying that it won't shut off and gets stuck. All you have to do when that happens is hold the off button for about 15 seconds and it will shut off. Not a big deal.

I have not done much with the photos or video because I use this mainly for music. I'm not saying there not great extras, but I don't have a huge use for those. You will have to be the judge.

BOTTOM LINE: If you want an Ipod or Zune, but don't want to pay for those items, this is the best alternative, if not better.

Customer Review: IPOD, No thanks.. this is a great item!
Summary: 5 Stars

I was trying to stay away from the IPOD bandwagon so I did some research and from previous items of Sandisk I knew the name and liked what info I had found on these, so i went for this model and have been very satisfied with it. The buttons are a little hard to push once you buy a protective cover for the unit. Also, more annoying than anything is that the VOICE RECORD button is on the side of the unit and there is NO way to disable this useless function so while on my belt and working outside that mistakenly was always being pushed and then stopping my mp3's from playing and trying to record voice. I had to take a little piece of a paperclip and tape it to the unit so pressing this button in could not happen.
It plays videos very well, which allows me to show off vids of my daughters to everyone, annoying? Yes, Proud father? yes! haha
The one thing I wish i had done was spend a few more bucks and buy the 4 gig model, you'll be amazed how fast you fill up a 2 gig model and the expansion slot for memory is nice but not as easy to use as you would think. When the Xd memory card is placed in there and plug unit into your pc you cant see the mp3's on that card through the Sansa, you will need to take the memory card out and place it into a memory card reader, not that hard but an inconvenience none the less.

Customer Review: Excellent Choice!
Summary: 5 Stars

The kids wanted MP3 players for Christmas, specifically the ipod. However, in doing the research, this seemed like a much better buy for the money (I paid $99). Photos, videos, FM radio, voice recorder plus the music and the option to expand another 2G with the expansion slot. Comes with the software as well to load your photos/videos. Can't get all that with the ipod Nano I was looking at for a whole lot more money! I had read other reviews where drawbacks had been there was no other way to charge it except through your computer and there was no way to scan through the songs....Amazon has an outlet/car charger set for this and you CAN scan through the songs. Very convenient with drop/drag feature to load your music as well as being able to create playlists through Windows Media Player. No complaints with the sound quality either. The only drawback I have found is that when the 2G is totally full of songs and you want to skip several songs in a row, there is a tiny bit of a delay which gets longer the more songs you consecutively skip through. I guess that's to be expected though with as many songs as you can load on these. So far we have no complaints with this item and it being our first experience with MP3 players! I would recommend this as an excellent purchase to anyone.
