We bought this for my son who is 5 and wanted an ipod. It is VERY easy for him to use & it's cute to see him shake it to get to the next song. He really enjoys it. We love how he can choose to use the earplugs or he can have them unplugged & it'll play out loud. It also has a 2nd place for somebody else to plug his or her ear phones in as well so 2 people can listen to it at a time.
And for me (mom) it's very simple to add the music to it. We have ipods & other mp3 players but this has got to be the simplest of them all. Click & drag is basically how easy it is. The best thing of all was the price. I couldn't believe how reasonable it was.
I would highly recommend this MP3 player. Simple enough for almost any child.

I purchased this mp3 player for my 5 year old Grandson. He absolutely loves it! He was really wanting one for Christmas, but I was worried about the small size of most players. This MP3 player was perfect for him. Small enough so he can carry it in his pocket and large enough for him to easily keep track of it. Also, I was worried about purchasing an expensive gift which he could easily destroy. Not so in this case. The price was great and he has dropped it several times and it just keeps playing. The only negative thing I have to say is that the ear plugs were too large for him. We had to purchase separte one for his ears, but they would probably be alright for an older child.Customer Review: Fantastic!

This player is great! It's the only one I've seen that has its own external speaker, which was a must for me. It's exceptionally easy to use, ultra-portable, and the sound quality is better than I expected. I took it out of the package, stuck in the battery, and plugged it into my computer to transfer some songs. Three minutes after unwrapping this thing it was playing my music - can't beat that! I know it says it's for kids 8 and up, but I loaded it with Raffi tunes and handed it over to my 8-month-old. He absolutely adores it! We'll see how well it holds up to baby slobber...regardless, at under $40 this thing is a steal. I might order another one now to have in reserve!Customer Review: Kids love it

My kids love this product, its a fun shape and its just for them. I love the fact they can hear their music without headphone which is one more thing for me to lug around and worry about it damaging ears, etc. but the sound is good for what it is. I would not hesitate to get one for myself if I didn't already have an MP3. Also the amount of memory you purchase can be changed at any time with the replacement of the SD card. I bought the 512mb but we put in a 2gb card and viola alot of music, although for the littler kids it's easier for them to find their favorites when there is less on the card. It is rated 8 and up but my 3 year old is able to use it properly.Customer Review: His favorite Christmas present

Kids naturally love music and this is perfect for my 6 year old. The simplicity of holding the button and shaking it to change songs is entertaining and exhilarating for him. Buying from Amazon gave me a better price than the retail stores in my area. Parents face the same challenge as with any other MP3 player. If you down-load from iTunes, you have to have some way to convert the songs to MP3. The one negative feature I found is the slide bar used to manually switch songs back and forth is so close to the end cap that my son will unscrew the end cap when he is trying to change songs. Overall, he is in love with this toy.
