Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk SDSDQY-8192-A11M 8GB Mobile Ultra Micro SDHC Card (Black)Customer Review: A List item Summary: 5 Stars
For transfer speed (class 6)and capacity, this memory card from a major manufacturer stands out. Not sure what 'Mobile Ultra' means other than marketing for the cell phone crowd, but it worked on me - for my T-Mobile G1 phone. The card slid right in, and registered 7,782 MB in total space available. Excellent. I like the itty-bitty USB reader too; it comes with a little 3 inch long lanyard with a jewelry clasp and a tiny key ring. The reader is the width of one of my fingernails and 1 inch long.
At 8 GB you can get aprox. 2,000 MP3 songs, or over 25,000 2 MP photos, or over 40 hours of MPEG 4 video on this card, according to the packaging print from SanDisk.
The warranty is 2 years for the reader, and 10 years for the card. Again, excellent.
It came by way of the U.S.P.S., in a padded shipping envelope with no damage. The manufacturer's packaging is solid as well.
Had it in the phone a month or so with no problems. All's well.
Customer Review: Card is great. Media-Mart is not Summary: 5 Stars
I am writing this review based on 2 purchases of this product that I received over the past year from another seller. Both cards were extremely fast and reliable and came with a great little USB adapter.
I wanted to add a quick warning about ordering through this web site, though. If the seller is listed as Media-Mart, select an alternate seller. I have gone back and forth with Media-Mart twice on this and they keep sending me the regular Class 2 Sandisk cards which are much slower than the Mobile Ultra brand. I would chalk it up to a mistake, but they did it more than once and after I very clearly identified the proper product model number and description they continued to send me a regular Class 2 card. They clearly have no idea what the Mobile Ultra version of the card is. If you care to get the right product then do not order with them as the seller...
Customer Review: Great Buy for Smart Phone Summary: 5 Stars
I got this great accessory for my Blackberry Bold 9000. Its one of the best things you can buy for your smart phone. Its able to store so much on it. You can store pictures, videos, music and just about anything else. This card is also a class 6 which makes it very fast just about the fastest cards you can get right now. Keep in mind you can only really use the class 6 speed when you transfering data onto the card. Class 6 cannot be used on current cell phones right now, the fastest a cell phone can use is about class 2. Although you can use the class 6 speed for any kind of video or digital still camera. The card also comes with a usb adapter so you can transfer the files to the card from you pcs usb port. The card is also very very small. Sandisk is the leader for memory especially any kind of memory cards or usb flash drive. They also offer a great warranty.
Customer Review: Excellent product, great price! Summary: 5 Stars
Overall, I am very pleased with this product. The SDHC card is amazingly fast and works great on my E71. I upgraded from a SD card and the results are evident and quite noticeable: music player response enhanced, lightning fast image capture, and application loading time improved.
The bundled USB adapter is great and very easy to use. I use my old SD card along with this adapter as my new USB key device. It may also come handy when transferring large amounts of data to your phone.
Pros:
- 8 GB decent capacity
- Fast application loading (obviously for the ones installed on the card)
- Great for music and image files
- Nice adapter that can be used as a USB key.
- Great price.
Cons:
- Adapter does not seem very durable, as it is made of plastic.
Customer Review: Quality product Summary: 5 Stars
This is a quality product but is also a Class 2 card. The first time I ordered one, I received a Class 6 card and of course I was happy as hell. However, I lost that one and ordered another one just to receive a class 2 card. I called SanDisk and this model line is definitely a class 2 card, or used to be anyway. Which means anything better was just luck of the draw. It happens to some of us lucky ones, and it doesn't to some of us unlucky ones. So, since I got what was adertised I couldn't be disappointed. It has worked reliably for the past year so I'm happy. Circumstances may have changed in the last year as it seems some people are receiving class 4 cards now. Oh well, sounds like a lottery to me. Good Luck!
