Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk SDMSG-1024 Pro Duo 1 GB Gaming Memory StickCustomer Review: Must-have for the PSP owner Summary: 5 StarsGreat product! Offers a lot of flexibility for the PSP owner. Store video, music, digital pics and game saves all on one memory card. Don't short change yourself on memory space...this is reasonably priced and you'll be glad you have so much room later!
Customer Review: It's memory. It's a stick. Summary: 5 StarsWhat can I say, it works and it's yellow. Which means when you drop the tiny thing in the couch cushions you can have a chance of finding it! So the color is actually practical.
Customer Review: 100% Amazing Porduct Summary: 5 StarsThe 1GB card is very reasonably priced definitely, and worth every cent. Whether you want all your music, game expansions, mods, videos, converted DVD's, pictures and all your game save this is for you!
But, the card has one downside to it, it is advertied as 1GB, which is 1000MB, but industry works each megabyte as 1000kilobytes when it is actually 1024, causing a signifigantly lower amount of memory than you payed for. Still, the difference of around 60Megabytes doesnt make much difference at all considering you are left with 940MB then. Of course, this goes for all memory cards not just the one gig, and not just ProDuo.
In terms of what you can fit, from my own experience, you can get around 25 cartoons on it, (simpsons, futurama, hellsing etc) in DVD quality, if you use the new AVC video format this increases without losing any quality. On a lower quality setting you should fit many more.
Musicwise ;
- 10MB songs: 94
- 6MB songs: 156
- 5MB songs: 188
- 3MB songs: 313
This is around 1101minutes of song.
This product is an amazing investment for any PSP gamer looking to utilise fully the PSP's capabilities and optimize their gaming experience.
I hope my review is of help to you, Cilein
Customer Review: the best Summary: 5 Starsit is the best it is double the 512 mb and almost the same price buy this product seriously
Customer Review: Price Gap Summary: 5 StarsThe prices on these are ridiculous. The 2GB--the next step up from this--costs, at the time of this writing, more than it would cost to buy four of these. The 512MB is maybe $20 cheaper than this one.
So the progression goes:
~$60(512MB)->$85(1GB)->$350(2GB)
Make your choice: you can either get four of these for 4GB, or one 2GB stick. Isn't it awesome how Capitalism makes everything completely nonsensical? Why do they do this?
The way things SHOULD work--the way the consumer/demand side is intended to function, to exercise the power it's been given--is, when the prices are that ridiculous, NOBODY should buy the ridiculously-priced item. Then, because nobody's buying it, it'll drive the price down. Then, everyone who wants one goes out and buys it on the same day, when the prices have been driven down.
Instead, everyone who can afford it rushes out and snags the biggest, best possible thing because OMFG 2GB MEMORY STICK! and the prices take months to drop to reasonable levels.
*sigh* I suppose I can't really expect any of this to change when we have a good chunk of the population of a major world power who voted for a leader so they could get a check for $300.
