Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk Micro Secure Digital 2 GB Memory Card (SDSDQ-2048-A10M) Retail Package

Customer Review: Super!!! (I bought 2GB, because my phone SUPPORTS 2GB...)
Summary: 5 Stars

This was a great price for 2 GB of storage for my Samsung D807. Oddly, you have to put the card in "upside down" for most of Samsung... that is, contact facing UP.

Don't have a use for the adapter, but I'm sure it works as good as the memory card.

In any case, I bought mine from Straight Trading. No problems. Item arrived well, and worked as soon as I plugged it in. Fully Sandisk, it came in the Retail packaging. All they do is send it to you, the rest is up to USPS. :) I was worried because it was sooo cheap. But, I took the risk. I found out there IS NO risk. Buy it cheap, wait for USPS to deliver it, and BAM. Straight Trading sent it right out.

MAKE SURE YOUR DEVICE is COMPATIBLE WITH THE AMOUNT OF MEMORY you PURCHASE! :) It isn't their fault if you buy the wrong stuff!!! If you do, don't be like the rest of the people around here, and give them a bad rating because you didn't pay attention to the features of YOUR device. They didn't say it would work with your device, they simply sold you a 2 GB MicroSD card from SanDisk (that works!!!), so if YOU want to complain, call up tech support for YOUR MOBILE DEVICE, and tell them YOU are an idiot!!!

Customer Review: A great portable micro memory card
Summary: 5 Stars

I have used this card for years with my Motorola KRZR K1 Unlocked Phone with 2 MP Camera, MP3/Video Player, and MicroSD Slot--International Version with No Warranty (Cosmic Blue) and have absolutely loved it. I used my cell phone as a primary MP3 player, and the capacity of this card was sufficient for most of my everyday needs. I have also had a chance to use this card with ContourHD 1080p by VholdR ' Full HD Helmet Camera and it worked perfectly with that device as well. I still find it incredible that it is possible to store this much information in such a small form factor. The only problem with the size is that it is not easy to transfer documents directly to most computers, as it's still pretty rare for them to have a MicroSD card readers. I just transfered most of the files by attaching the devices that the card was placed in directly to the computer. Also, because of its small size, the card is relatively easy to misplace and should probably be kept in a larger case.

Customer Review: It. Works.

MicroSD is one of the newest memory cards on the market today. Currently available up to sizes of 4GB, MicroSD is the smallest consumer memory card available. They are smaller and thinner then a penny. I got my MicroSD card for my cellphone, so I can store some MP3s on it. It does it's job very well, it transfer data at reasonable speeds and it is very small. The current price of MicroSD cards isn't bad but you are paying a small premium for it's size. One thing I don't like about MicroSD cards is the fact that it is very flimsy. They can easily be broken, which means you need to be careful about putting it in your pocket or laying it on a desk. I've never had any problems with it though, so you should be fine if you are careful. One cool thing about MicroSD is they can be used with other SD slots. SanDisk includes a SD converter which allows you to use the MicroSD card in SD card slots, which are common in digital cameras. This is great for someone who wants to "future proof" their memory cards. Overall I highly recommend the Sandisk 2GB MicroSD card.

Customer Review: Works great
Summary: 5 Stars

Bought it for my Cingular/AT&T 8525 phone. Arrived quickly and works great. Works out to having 1936.88 MB available. After I loaded Laridian Bible software onto it, I still had 1871.19 MB free after loading 4 translations (KJV, NASB, NIV, NLT) 3 dictionaries (Greek, Hebrew and Tyndale) and 1 commentary (NIV Study Notes)! Loads fast from the card. Also used the card to transfer files from my sister-in-law's Verizon Samsung SCH-a950. The a950 got soaked with contact lens cleaner and it wouldn't connect to Verizon after that! She had pictures from her daughter's wedding on her phone that she couldn't retrieve now. Luckily the micro SD slot on her soaked Samsung phone still worked so we copied them from her phone to the SD card. I then removed the card from her phone and plugged the SD into my 8525. Opened up Windows File Manager, saw that a new folder called "My PIX" was created by her Samsung on the card then just e-mailed them to her. Crisis averted!

Customer Review: Good card for GPS
Summary: 5 Stars

I am using this card in a Garmin 60CX GPS. So far it has performed flawlessly. The price was low, and SanDisk has a good quality reputation so I bought one to go with the Garmin. The card came with an adapter to "convert" it into a regular-size SD card, so you can switch it between devices requiring Regular SD and Micro-SD. I am actually using the adapter, along with the 64 meg MicroSD card that came with the Garmin, in my HP-50g calculator.

BTW, these micro-SD cards are really tiny, like the size of a pinky finger nail, and a little hard to handle with bare fingers if you are on the clumsy side and prone to dropping things, so be careful and maybe use a tweezers or something similar to handle it. If you drop the darn thing in tall grass, or even on a thick pile carpet in your house, you might never find it again.
