Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk Extreme HD Video 8 GB Class 10 SDHC Flash Memory Card SDSDRX3-8192-A21Customer Review: Class 6 - Fast Enough Summary: 5 Stars
I was very tempted to buy the latest and greatest Class 10 card (30 MB/sec read/write speed). But I took a chance that the old (and much cheaper) Class 6 card (20 MB/sec) card could keep up with my new digital camera. And it could, even when taking long HD movies in low light, the cache never overflows. I'm sure there are other applications (video cams?) which need that higher speed. But it looks like a Class 10 is serious overkill for most digital cameras. If you can find a Class 6, buy it and it will serve you well.
Customer Review: Fast, reliable Summary: 5 Stars
After using different types of flash memory cards and thumb drives, I've switched exclusively to SanDisk for their reliability and speed. The Extreme III and IV series represent some of the fastest cards on the market. Since neither my camera nor my SanDisk Extreme card reader can keep up with the transfer rates of the IV series, I saved a few $ and went with the III. Great product! Reliable and fast. While most of their products have a lifetime warranty, I have yet to have one fail. What else is there to say?
Customer Review: Great Card & Reader Summary: 5 Stars
This card works great with my Nikon Coolpix P80 camera. The reader works fine with my older iMac computer that I use with PhotoShop. It only has USB type 1 connections, but still works fine. I take all photos with 10MP resolution and the card is fast and works great. It also holds about 12 more photos than my 8GB class 6 SDHC Transcend card. The only downside: It takes a while to copy all of the high-res photos from the card to the computer. (It's well worth it.) Excellent product.
Customer Review: Posting my review in the 8GB though I bought a 4. Summary: 5 Stars
My 4GB SDHC works perfectly in my new camera. I just point and click, and am using a Samsung S85. I do not take enough pictures nor am I skilled enough in photography to justify purchasing a DSLR.
The card however works perfectly, and seems to be fast. (Haven't ran any benchmarks)
Throwing my 4GB review here, to counter the uninformed poster that gave it a 2 star because he wanted an SD card, and not an SDHC.
Customer Review: Still going strong Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this card back in January '09 when I bought a new Canon SX110IS camera. This card works like a champ. I've had no problems with it. And it gets a workout since I remove it and put it in my computer when transferring photos. I bought the Extreme III 4Gb first, now it's a backup for vacations, etc. I highly recommend this little speedster for your photo, video, or file needs.
