Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk Extreme HD Video 8 GB Class 10 SDHC Flash Memory Card SDSDRX3-8192-A21

Customer Review: SDHC Compatibility
Summary: 5 Stars

One of the comments on this card stated it didn't work in any computer unless using the multi-mate reader...this is true. Most computers do not recognize these HC cards. No problem, just get a reader.

Funny thing is, how I found out was in Circuit City, and none, no kidding, of the sales people knew this.

The reader is cool anyway because you can put it in your camera case and use it to download photos to anyones computer without the silly card or using the camera to do it. However, we tried the reader in a MAC and had trouble, but that's a MAC.

The card is awesome!

Customer Review: What a great card!
Summary: 5 Stars

Though expensive, this card is wonderful. It will hold almost 7,000 4 mega pixel pictures (the setting I leave it on) and about 63 minutes of vga video with sound. I bought it for its high capacity and speed. While the ultra II would have been sufficient for picture taking speed, the thought of downloading 8 GB of pictures and videos at anything less than max speed was scary. It gets near 6 mb per second when downloading pictures to the computer, but when it starts downloading video files, the speeds continually increase. I saw it get to 9 mb/sec once. This card is worth the price and very helpful.

Customer Review: Superb Performance!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought the Sandisk Extreme III 8GB SDHC card a month ago and it works very well with my Nikon D80. I love the card's high performance on my DSLR. Everything in the product description is true. I never regret buying this card instead of the 4GB. I am now able to capture more pictures using JPEG fine or NEF(RAW) format.

Sandisk cards are extemely reliable and made of high quality. It comes with a image files recovery cd just in case you lost your data inside the card but I have never tested it. The downside is that the card is pricey but it is worth it.

Highly Recommended!!!

Customer Review: Why risk your memories on anything else?
Summary: 5 Stars

I use this card for 1080p on my Canon DSLR. The camera's buffer never backs up, indicating this card is FAST. I have used Sandisk cards for several years and have never had a problem. (I can't say the same for cheaper cards) Your SDHD card is equivilant to film. Did you buy bargain film and have it developed at the cheapest place in town? If not, why would you buy a cheap SDHD card. This card came in a box with a coupon for a free 1-year subscription for RescuePRO. (recovers data from erased and damaged cards) You can not go wrong buying a Sandisk card!

Customer Review: When buffer-clearance is crucial, this card is golden.
Summary: 5 Stars

The quickest of the four cards I bought with my Nikon D80, over a year ago, was a Lexar x60. It allows the buffer of my camera to clear a maximum burst of 7 .nef files with a 7-9 second lag, depending upon the complexity of the scene photographed.
This SanDisk card reduces that (7-image) buffer-clearing downtime to 4 seconds. That 3-5 second gain in utility of the camera is worth every penny I paid. It's particularly valuable when I'm shooting birds in flight after waiting several hours for the window of opportunity to open.
