I'm actually writing this now because I just killed mine.
I've had it for a good 3 years now, from back when they were in the $60 range.
The thing has gone through the laundry dozens of times, been chewed on, tossed around, dropped, stepped on, etc. It's a very tough little flash drive!
SanDisk has really done great with this product.
I gave it 1 star for ease of installation because U3 is a pain in the tookus. I got rid of it right away (search Google for instructions on that).
What finally killed the thing is a little silly. I had the USB ports on my case wired wrong and it just burned the poor little thing up.

8GB is a must for me. I save a lot of files each day and can sometimes run out of disk space on my laptop. When I saw this item on Amazon, I ordered it so I could get it fast. I received it in just a few days, so it was a fast, exceptional shipping. It had a small scratch on the back of it, but I was okay with that, since this one matched my dads. It ran great on my computer, virus free, and since it was used, it didn't have the junk programs (opinion) that come with it. It has a fast sync speed, and holds the files and programs I want to, without losing my files. Overall this is a 5 star item, and I plan on buying another one from this user.Customer Review: Very Durable

This little drive has never failed me. The U3 software needs to be removed, but everything else about it is great --and no cap to lose. I was compelled to write a review after my wife called me at work to inform me that she had just send my 8GB drive through the washing machine. I told her just to let it sit out and dry and I'd check it out in a few days. She said there was no need for that as it had also gone through the dryer. The next day I plugged it in to my mac and everything was still there intact. I ordered a couple more just so I can have them around to share large files. I bought the 8GB SanDisk Micro Flash Drive, specifically to store Digital Photos on. I am normally not good with computer related technology, but found this product simple to use. I put around 300 digital pictures from our vacation on this product and they loaded at a fairly fast rate. I didn't really time it, but was personally satisfied with the speed. It was also very easy to take this flash drive and plug it into our laptop and open it up to view the pictures. We are looking forward to taking the flash drive with us when we visit our daughter, so she and our grankids can see some of Disney World.Customer Review: Good deal for the money ...

I had a hard time even coming close to finding one of these for what Amazon Sellers offer them for. This was a purchase for our son who likes the convenience of not having a "cap" to look after. He likes SanDisk products in particular for their reliablility and ease of use.
Shipping was very fast, ours came from an Amazon Seller in New York, CCMACCESSORIES ~ and as we are also on the East Coast, it was in our son's mailbox (shipped First Class) three days after ordering ~ and this was during the week before Christmas. Another great Amazon experience ...
