Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk Cruzer Micro 8 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive SDCZ6-8192-A11Customer Review: Nice Flash Drive Summary: 5 Stars
Good quality flash drive, for a really nice price. It seems to me that the U3 software has improved - I don't mind it so much as I did when I experienced it in a more annoying, slow, unwieldy version which was loaded on an old drive I owned. This version contains options for removal, and asks you upon first inserting the device whether you want to use the drive with the U3 software or without it. I would recommend this flash drive to anyone, as it's small, light, easier to keep track of than drives with those protective cap thingies (it's quite easy to lose those protective cap thingies), works fine, looks good, and is made by SanDisk, which is clearly a trusted brand. I'm certainly happy with mine.
Customer Review: Fast, Convenient, Reliable Summary: 5 Stars
I love this thing. Some brands of 8G flash drive are SLOW, and
most of them come with a little cap for the USB connector that's
easy to lose. This cruzer, on the other hand, has a retractable
USB connector--no cap to lose. I use it as a live linux drive
(Ubuntu 7.10), and it's FAST--faster than the installed hard drive
on every machine I've tried it on. Until I got this thing, I
used flash drives only for secondary data storage.
Since I don't use the device under Windows, I downloaded a program
from the manufacturer that formats the whole drive and gets rid of
the u3 partition, so I can't say how the included software works.
Customer Review: I love this product!! Summary: 5 Stars
I have used this product for a long time...I have 5 of them which allows me to travel with it and put pictures on it while away...I take all 5 of them if the person has a computer. But I also use it for my computer graphic saves that I don't want to lose. I have an external hard drive but you know I just never use it. It is a 1 TB and I find the portability of the flash drives better for my uses....Also great shipping and I received the product before the due date. I would definitely recommend this product and will buy more of them as I need them and I always buy the ones with the little tab to insert on a chain or I buy the ribbon type of storage to put them on..not losing them that way.
Customer Review: Great for the price Summary: 5 Stars
i, like any other intelligent person, do not use vista. i have no use for the U3 crap either, so ran the uninstall on the drive, and moved the 2 files left over to restore its U3 capabilities to a folder somewhere on my computer in case i did find a use for it later. Reformatted the drive so the application partition was gone, it all worked. i attribute the other problems people have been having to an inferior operating system, seeing as how these all worked for me. great drive, great price, works with ps3 in case anyone was interested. no pop-ups (just XP's 'new hardware found' in the tray, unnavoidable/not intrusive) and no software installations (thank god). just plug and use. easy.
Customer Review: U3 Smart Drive Summary: 5 Stars
I cannot imagine anyone in this day and age not having a U3 Smart Drive. With all the web sites (usernames and passwords) to remember it seems impossible. Along comes the U3! I can't function on the internet without it! I only have to remember 1 password to unlock the drive and I'm off! Now this has little to do with the drive other than running apps. But that is the other side of the coin...there are as many apps to download as a body can imagine. Easy to use and just make browsing the internet a breeze. I encourage anyone who uses the internet to purchase 2 of these (one as a backup) I have 3 and and will upgrade as needed. Sandisk makes the best on the market!
